Q&A Witchlings

Any tips for beginners?
  • Read materials that pertain to your personal interests, without relying on other peoples opinions.
  • Take most information with a grain of salt until you are comfortable enough with determining fact from misinformation.
  • Take notes whenever you can.
  • Keep a diary or notebook with you to jot down ideas when you’re out and about.
  • Keep a well stocked spice/herb rack and pantry, as most ingredients for spellwork and ritual can be found in your kitchen.
  • Collect bits and pieces from outdoors - but always be aware of feathers, flowers and herbs that may be illegal to obtain. Be respectful of other people’s property.
  • Baths and teas are good beginner spells.
  • Witch bottles and charms for protection are great for beginners too.
  • Don’t go spending a large amount of money on altar/ritual tools at first, if you are not sure whether you really need it.
  • Keep jars from pasta sauce bottles and condiments.
  • Search for community groups that may be able to help you along your way.
  • Don’t be discouraged during your first few months of study.
