Cleanse a cellphone????? Hmm... Maybe??

hi, how'd you cleanse a cellphone? mine's all laggy even though it's new and I've ran an antivirus and deleted a lot of stuff already, so I thought it'd be good to give it a magical boost too

You can do it in a few ways.
  • You can try the standard smoke cleansing, if you don’t mind wafting smoke on your electronics.
  • You can set it in front of an open window on a very windy day (I originally wrote “fairy windy day,” hmm…) and let the wind cleanse it.
  • You can put the phone itself into a sandwich baggy, close it tightly, then bury that in a dish of salt.
  • You can wipe it down with a cloth damp with a cleansing solution. (A basic one would be water, with additions of vinegar and lemon juice.)
  • You can set it out under the light of the (preferably) full moon, with a sigil on / under the device to amplify it.
  • You can set a sigil for cleansing as your phone background, to be charged as your phone is plugged in charging.
Those are just a few ideas off the top of my head. As you can see, most of the “standard” methods of charging can work, just modified a little bit.
I know this is super late, but I hope it still helps! :D

cleansing crystals

full moon: on the night of a full moon, leave your crystals outside to soak up the moonlight, the crystals will still receive the energy even if it’s cloudy or raining! (but make sure the crystals can safely be in contact with water!!)
sunlight: leave your crystals out to bathe in the sun for a few hours (Amegreen, Amethyst, Ametrine,  Aquamarine,  Celestite, Citrine, Fluorite,  Kunzite, Opal,Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz, Spirit Quartz, Super Seven, Topaz, and Turquoise should not be left out in the sun!!)
sage/incense: waft the smoke over the crystals, or hold the crystals in the smoke, let the smoke reach every side of the crystal
water: let your crystals soak in a nice cool water bath, or place them under running water, visualise the water cleaning out any negative energy (Calcite, Desert Rose, Halite, Hematite, Lodestone, Malachite, Satin Spar, and Selenite should not be placed in water!!)
earth: bury your crystals in the soil for a few hours and the earth will soak up negative energies (again, be cautious about rain!)
sound: place your crystals in front of speakers and play your favourite music!! the vibrations from sound waves will pass through the crystals and reset their vibrations to their original state
flower petals: bury your crystals in a bowl of flower petals, choose a flower that has extra healing properties to help your crystals
visualisation: hold your crystal in your hand and envision a white light surrounding it, then see a white beam pass through the crystal, taking the negative energy away

How to Substitute in a Spell 🌿

image
not all witches have the same budget or spell ingredients readily available to them, so when one witch writes a spell with ingredients they consider easy to procure, it may not be the same for the next witch that wants to try that spell.

🌿 homemade replacements:

sometimes you can make a substitute for the ingredients, the way land locked witches can make sea water from sea salt and tap water. it’s not entirely the same but it’ll do well enough. however, not everything can be almost-manufactured.

🌿 common “replaces anything” alternatives:

  • rosemary - replaces any herb
  • rose - replaces any flower
  • quartz - replaces any crystal
  • white or black candle - replaces any candle.
however, these are just stand in- the hold the spot, boost the spell, but only in generic, neutral energy. these ingredients can even water down the intent of the spell because they don’t support the correspondences of the spell. without components that have the intent of the spell, what do you have to direct that energy?

🌿 so how to replace a spell component?

the core of any spell is the intent, the results it wants to achieve. however, that intent is the sum of the intents of the ingredients in the spell. you need to break down the spell into its ingredients and understand what is needed and why, and even if anything is expendable.
example:  a spell to speak clearly may have one herb for communication and another for clarity, and one for luck.
the one for luck may be less necessary than the other ingredients, just there for a little boost to the spell.
however, using only the component for communication, the spell might only bring opportunities to communicate, and they may go badly or well, there’s nothing in the spell to balance that. so the other component is needed, the one for clarity.
however the herb for clarity on its own may end up only providing insight and understanding on your part, and not communicating well with others.
figure out the correspondences of the herbs and their part in the spell, and look up herb/stone/etc correspondences for that intent, and replace with what you find that is available to you.

🌿 however, there are other times you may need to replace something in a spell, like personal association.

say you hate lavender, yet it’s in every calming or sleep spell. if lavender makes you gag when you need a sleep spell, it’s plain not going to help the spell for you, even if you have plenty of lavender on hand.
again you research what lavender or whatever herb generally stands for, and find an equivalent, like chamomile tea. if you like chamomile and have it on hand, it can be your new go-to replacement.

🌗 First Quarter ~ balance
*Meditate on your life by making a metaphysical pro and con lost. What is bringing you positivity? What is bringing you negativity? Reflect on how you can add daily peace through balance.
*Try a sleep spell to deepen your rest or recall your dreams. If this is new to you, try a pen and paper dream journal to study what your subconscious is telling you.
🌔 Waxing Gibbous ~ attraction
*Now is the perfect time to invite new energies to you! Whether you’re calling on comfort, confidence, or energy, try different forms of sigil work to channel what you need from the Earth.
*Glamour spells are more than just making you look/feel pretty! Enchant your grooming tools or make a self love potion lotion to add to your daily routine.
🌕Full Moon ~ energy work
*All energies are boosted during a full moon! Use the time to practice divination or perform your more complex rituals. If you have no specific intention, focus on charging yourself and your tools in a magickal moon bath.
*Burn bay leaves or blow dandelion seeds to connect with the elements for wish fulfillment.
🌖 Waning Gibbous ~ introspect
*Get friendly with your journal or art form and spend time with yourself. Find a safe way to open up and explore yourself, perhaps with astral travel or a mind map.
*If you’re a witch who practices banishing or binding, a waning moon can be a powerful tool. Use this energy to end an unhealthy relationship or break a bad habit.
🌗 Third Quarter ~ release
*Cast a spell using heat, volume, or passion. Try visualizing a light (sub with a wind, flame, stream, tree etc) that grows with your focus and evaporates back into your being when you’re finished.
*Rid of something away you don’t need anymore and replace it with something you are found or given.
🌘Waning Crescent ~ peace
*Cleanse everything! Make a cleansing spray for your house or bed if you prefer smoke free methods. You can also try bowls of charged water or every witches’ friend- SALT!
*Spend intentional time in nature or try a new guided meditation if you can’t get outside. Even time driving feeling warmth on your skin or closing your eyes under the shower head can ground you to the peaceful energies of the earth.

Mercury Signs

Mercury in Aries: You never slow down and you want to jump to conclusions; Your mind is quick as lightning and you have a direct and energetic way of expressing yourself. Although you may be impatient, competitive, irritable and often having difficulty concentrating, you are never boring or tasteless (when people know you). You are ready to dictate your law if necessary. You express yourself in an authoritarian way, and people generally know what you are thinking. (If Mercury is in your twelfth house, you will try to conceal your opinions, but generally without success)
Mercury in Taurus: You are thoughtful, conservative and remarkably sensible. You study the facts, construct carefully an argument, and present it diplomatically. After that, it is very unlikely that you will change your mind. Having made a reasoned decision with the necessary time, you see no reason to change your opinion. You tend to be inflexible, and it’s hard to talk to you, partly because it’s not easy for you to open up new ideas.
Mercury in Gemini: You are intelligent, curious, insightful, playful and playful, expeditious and incredibly clear. Your intellectual speed and intellectual agility are extraordinary. Your mind readily embraces, and you can talk like a mill. But you can also bow to the wind. You are far too adaptable, and you can reason on anything.
Mercury in Cancer: Sensitive and understanding, you are intuitive, thoughtful and available to listen. You can communicate with compassion, and you can absorb information so easily that it seems from time to time that you are a soothsayer. You have an astounding memory. But your moods sometimes flood your discernment and you tend to take your desires for realities.
Mercury in Leo: Theatrical, full of dignity and ambitious, you think creatively, express yourself in a colorful way and you have confidence in your opinions (less so Sun in Cancer). You never lose sight of the whole situation. You are persuasive, eloquent, and your thinking process is organized. You can also be dogmatic and bragging, but unreservedly in your enthusiasm - as often happens with positions of planets in Leo, your heat controls your tendency to brag and prevail over it.
Mercury in Virgo: You are intelligent, subtle, persistent, knowledgeable, astute, analytical and purposeful. Nothing escapes you, and especially not the logical inconsistencies. Idealist who secretly deplores the discrepancy between the state in which things are and the state in which they ought to be, you may be fussy, and exercise the profession of criticism, or of attorney. But you are also a brilliant thinker and a leading talker. Be confident: you have a fine mind.
Mercury in Libra: With your rational thinking and elegant speech, you are looking for a balanced perspective and intuitively understand that the best solution is usually the simplest. Prudent, discreet and endowed with a strong aesthetic sense, you are charming, objective and diplomatic. The opinions of those you respect are of interest to you. But in the secrecy of your mind, your thoughts oscillate from one position to another, you are prey to uncertainty and you will take time to arrive at a reasoned decision.
Mercury in Scorpio: You possess a penetrating and resourceful mind, which is constantly probing the underside of the surface. You never take anything for cash, so you often suffer from suspicion and even paranoia. But you are also analytical, sagacious, able to find all kinds of information. This is an excellent position for a detective, researcher or therapist. Mas it can be dangerous because it also confers a biting spirit and tendency to use words as a weapon.
Mercury in Sagittarius: You have a research intellect and a broad breadth of mind. Reflecting on the big questions, as you love to do, inspires you and gives you greatness in your philosophy of life. You like to speak well, and you are distracting and wise. But you can also be dogmatic, hypocritical and weak when you get into the details, and direct to the point of lacking tact. Your sense of humor saves you.
Mercury in Capricorn: Methodical, realistic and organized, you are a systematic thinker. You do your homework ; You concentrate; You act as an adult. Although you may be conventional, rigid and pessimistic, you try to be impartial and cautious to draw your conclusions, even if this means that you must overcome your prejudices. Thinker applied, you are responsible enough to make sure of what you advance, and you communicate clearly and thoughtfully.
Mercury in Aquarius: Fed with ideas, you possess an inventive spirit, often brilliant. Turning to progress, human and happy when you commit to a cause, you express yourself in a unique way and you have flashes of inspiration that often bring you an excellent understanding of things. You can completely pack yourself up for a social problem or for an abstract theory. But you can also attach yourself to an idea to the point of becoming inflexible, and deny that facts - or people - hinder you.
Mercury in Pisces: Any planet in Pisces brings the triumph of feelings on the facts. You react instinctively to people and situations, often making the right decision without knowing why. You understand how people work. And you adapt easily to changing circumstances. Your mind is receptive, subtle, compassionate and imaginative, but logic is not your forte. On the other hand, you have easy access to your intuition, which is a river of impressions and instincts that flows just below your conscious thoughts.

Crystals tip #1

A cheap and fun way to incorporate stones and crystals in spells, especially if you’re new to the use of crystals, is to use crystal chip beads. They are sold in long strands and are usually very affordable (about 2€/2$ each). They can be used in many ways, and I love how versatile and easy they are to use. Don’t be fooled by their size: tiny crystals carry as much power as the big ones, but they are much cheaper and convenient.
🔮  You can use them in… 🔮
  • Jar spells: just put a couple of crystals in your jar along with the other ingredients to enhance the power of your spell.
  • Mojo bags: you can fill small fabric bags with all sorts of herbs, oils and other ingredients. Adding the right stone can help you obtain a more effective spell.
  • Tiny talismans: you can take one or more different crystal beads and use them to create charms to carry around with you. Cleanse the crystals with some sage or incense and focus your intention on what you want the crystals to do (bring protection, courage, attract love…)
  • Magic room sprays: put some crystals along with some water and essential oils in a spray bottle and use it to cleanse and protect your room or your house.
If you want to light up romance with your loved one, spray water infused with rose quarts, rose and jasmine essential oils and some basil leaves around the room.
For a very strong protection use holy water, obsidian and mint (I would suggest doing this if you think you’re under the effects of a psychic attack or malocchio).
💎  My favorite crystals 💎
  • Carnelian, which can be used to enhance courage and strength or to stimulate lust and sexual power. Use in combination with thyme, and with warrior deities such as St. George, St. Michael Archangel, Ogoun.
  • Rose Quartz, the stone of love and trust. It can be used to bring back romance in a relationship or to help build trust and friendship between two people. Use in combination with basil, and with love and beauty deities such as Erzulie Freda, Mater Dolorosa, Aphrodite
  • Fluorite, the crystal of wisdom and intelligence. As a scientist and a student I love this stone, because it helps me focus my intellectual energies and it brings clarity to my mind. Use in combination with sage, and with deities associated with wisdom, such as Athena, Isis, Ganesha.
  • Clear quartz, the most versatile stone, can be used for all sorts of spells and rituals. I find that staring into a piece of clear quarts helps me focus my intention and brings clarity and spiritual power.
Happy spellcasting!

Cardinal Signs in the Natal Chart

Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th Houses

Keywords: leaders, determined, magnetic, manipulative, creative, selfish, demanding, charming
Cardinal Signs represent key changing points in the cycle of the Zodiac Wheel, just as they do in nature: Aries comes with the spring, Cancer Summer, Libra Autumn and Capricorn Winter. Aries and Libra are Solstice Signs, Cancer and Capricorn Equinox.
These are the extremes in nature, the tipping points, times of change, and it is very present in their nature.
Cardinal Signs are enterprising. They start things, go after what they want and are unafraid to do so. Yet they can’t always follow through.
Naturally, they are leaders, not followers.
Lack of Cardinal Signs in the Chart: When Cardinal Signs make up less than 33% of one’s natal chart they struggle to assert themselves. They are naturally passive to a point that can cause many problems in their professional and personal lives. Lacking in originality, charm and passion they often slip into the background. They are attracted to powerful, loud and brash individuals.
Excess of Cardinal Signs in the Chart: When Cardinal Signs make up more than 33% of an individual’s chart they are highly aggressive and seek to take control of situations. They are determined to get what they want even if it means they must use unsavory methods. Often, they are inconsiderate of the needs of others as they are too focused on themselves. They are drawn to passive, pliable, and unassuming people.
Balanced: When Cardinal Signs make up about 33% of one’s chart they are assertive and seek to take control of situations but not without considering the needs and desires of those around them. They are highly creative, independent and often very successful.

Natural History

Malachite is copper carbonate hydroxide, a very common form of opaque copper carbonate with distinctive swirls of lighter and darker green and black. It is found in Russia, the Middle East, Romania, and Zambia. The name Malachite comes from the Greek meaning mahle "green mallow plant" or possibly from the Greek word malakos meaning “soft” alluding to the fact that this is a soft mineral, easy to carve and to break.

History and Folklore

Historically, malachite has been used as the pigment in green paints and cosmetics and as the basis for carving various decorative items such as vases. It was mined as far back as 4000 BC by the ancient Egyptians. Malachite may have been one of the earliest ores from which copper was derived.
The ancient Greeks used malachite to create amulets to protect children and during the Middle Ages malachite was used in amulets to defend against black magic.

Malachite Correspondences

Angel: Ausiel; Gods/Goddesses: Venus, Freyja; Chakra: heart; Element: earth, Water; Astrological Sign: Scorpio; Planet: Venus, Neptune.

Traditions

Malachite is a traditional gemstone gift for the 13th wedding anniversary.
Considered a salesperson’s stone, placing malachite in the corners of a business or in the cash register is said to attract business.

Healing and Magickal Uses of Malachite

Body: Malachite increases physical energy, encourages cell regeneration and clears and activates the chakras. It is worn to reduce swelling in joints, aids sleep, enhance the immune system, reduce acid levels in the body, combat dyslexia and aid the circulatory system. It can also be used to ease migraines and protect against pollution, noise and electro-magnetic emissions. Malachite should not be used to make elixirs because of its high copper content.
Mind: Malachite induces feelings of sympathy, empathy and compassion for others, cleanses the aura, helps remove spiritual blocks. Gazing into a malachite stone is said to calm emotions and encourage harmony and patience. It also opens up the mind to receive knowledge.
Magick: Malachite is a protective stone said to warn the wearer of impeding danger by breaking. It can be used in all sorts of protection magick especially while traveling. A malachite amulet engraved with a rayed sun is said to increase the powers of the magus using it. Malachite may also be used in prosperity magic and to ward against nightmares. Malachite can be attached to a child’s bed or cradle to ward off illness and other dangers or hung in a nursery window to prevent negative energies from entering the room.

Care and Cleansing

Malachite is a soft stone and susceptible to damage if handled roughly. Protect it from getting crushed or scratched and keep it from extremes of temperature, especially avoid sudden temperature changes.
Use Earth cleansing to cleanse and recharge. Cleanse and recharge often as it has a tendency to absorb negativity, especially when used in healing work. It will fade and begin to crack if not completely cleansed often. You can also cleanse and recharge malachite by laying it on a clear quartz cluster in the sun. Do not use salt as it will mar the surface of the stone. Avoid breathing the dust of raw malachite. Handle with care and wash hands after handling.

Why I Read Tarot

  • It’s a tool for guidance. Tarot can help frame a question in a new way, or come at it from a different perspective than you may have thought. It can help you think outside the box on issues or make you face aspects of the problem you’ve been ignoring. It can provide enough insight for you to make a tough decision on your own.
  • It’s fun! Tarot can answer tough questions, or it can fill up an evening at a slumber party. Let’s each draw a card for our deepest, darkest secret. Let’s learn about our love lives and laugh together. Let’s play games and learn about each other. Let’s practice readings over meaningless things.
  • It’s a tool for mindfulness. Draw a card to reflect on each day. Make a spread for the coming week, to see what you should be mindful of. Be reassured of your strengths and admitting of your weaknesses. Assign affirmations to each card. Use the cards as a tool to strengthen yourself and grow as a person.
  • You meet a lot of people. Each of these people, dozens, hundreds, has their own unique life story, and they share a tiny piece of it with you over the cards. You get people from all walks of life, all different personalities and hopes and fears. Yet, almost everyone seems to have the same handful of burning questions. This is comforting, in a way, knowing that on some level we are all wondering the same things.
  • You become a little wiser. I don’t know how many epiphanies I’ve had while reading other people’s cards. I feel like I learn something new with every reading I do. There have been times where the cards have led me to stumble upon nuggets of wisdom beyond my years, things I may have never found otherwise. I have grown as a person through the lessons the cards have taught me.
  • You can help people. Sometimes, people just need to vent their question and worries to someone. Sometimes, people need just a little push to articulate a truth to themselves. Sometimes, they already know the answer to their question, and just need that little extra bit of strength to commit to it. Sometimes they will come in search of nothing but kind words and reassurance. Sometimes, on rare occasions, you can help people dig up long-held issues, things they’ve been too afraid to face, and set them on the path of healing.
I think those moments are what make me the most proud and grateful I have learned this art.

A “Sending Love” Spell

hello, my loves! the purpose of this spell is to send your most positive energy and vibrations to the ones that you love whom you feel need it most (this can include yourself). here are the steps:
Supplies:
• a dish/cauldron/anything to mix spices in + a spoon
• nutmeg (or cinnamon), rosemary, lavender (you may also use lavender oil instead), salt, and several rose hips (or petals)
• a small quartz crystal
• paper/scissors/ + a pen
• a small bottle, jar, bag, or holder that you can close or seal
• optional: a pink, white, or red candle; lipstick
Note: Before creating my charm bottle, I put on some relaxing, atmospheric background music. For suggestions, feel free to ask me! And if you have a candle, light it beforehand.
Steps:
1). Begin by mixing your spices together in your dish! Add them in any order you please, a small spoonful of each: rosemary for love, lavender for peace, nutmeg (or cinnamon) for good luck and strong visualization, and salt for additional strength and protection. As you add each spoonful, begin to focus on what each spice represents, and how it will help the people you wish to send positivity to.
2). Now is the time to begin writing out your intentions for each individual you are hoping to help. On a piece of paper, in small lettering, write a brief note for each person. Ex: “Safe travels for ___,” “Positive mentality and moving forward for ___,” “A healthy recovery for ___.” You can write messages for as many people as you wish. When you are done, cut out each small piece of paper and fold them small enough to fit in your bottle/jar/holder. If you wish, anoint them with a little something - I sealed all of my notes with a kiss, marked in red lipstick!
3). This is where the rose hips/rose petals come into play. Add a hip or petal to your spice mixture to represent each person that you wrote a note for.
4). Mix your spices together. Close your eyes. Picture your good intentions flowing gently down your arm, your hand, flowing into the spoon, and then off of the spoon, filling your mixture with love and protection.
5). Add your spice mixture to your holder, minus the hips/petals.
6). After adding the spices, drop your notes and hips/petals in, one at a time. Go in the order (note, hip/petal; note, hip/petal; note, hip/petal…) The goal is to visualize that specific person as happy, glowing, and healthy as you drop their notes and rose hips/petals in, one at a time. Really take the time to build up a radiant energy while you close your eyes and envision them as cheerful. While in this positive, visual state, add your quartz crystal to the holder.
7). That’s it! Seal your holder, and place it in an altar, on the windowsill, or next to your bed. Shake it every so often to charge its contents with your ethereal, healing energy! 🥀💖✨💌💋

Shield yourself!

We’ll talk about energy shields in this article, why? Because they’re important in your magic work. You can’t just start to do magic or witchcraft without protecting yourself against “things” out there. And no, I’m not being paranoid.
Basic shield - first of all, create basic shield. This isn’t a matter of a ritual, but matter of your willpower - as everything in magic is, anyway.
The key to using your willpower is imagination and your will, of course.
Prepare an energy source. Are you used to use the power of elements? The power of nature? The power of sun? Try to connect with it. Ask it for the energy you’ll need for your shield.
Now let’s get to shield making: start with simply picture of YOU in your mind. Picture yourself as best as you are able to - basically try to see yourself, feel yourself with closed eyes. Now re-connect with the energy source you chose and use the energy of it - imagine yourself pulling out, drawing out or sucking out the energy you’ll use and picture it covering the space around your body. Make it seem you’re inside of this egg made of energy, that will protect you. And this is important - while you’re creating the egg, think about what the egg is supposed to do - protect you. Nothing evil, nothing bad, nothing that would hurt you won’t enter the eggshell you’re creating. Take your time, this can’t be done in 10 seconds :)
Once you feel satisfied with your eggshield, make sure there is no hole (basically imagine it being perfectly content). Disconnect yourself from the energy source and once again imagine your shield being perfectly sealed.
This kind of basic shield requires weekly check ups and occasional fix.
Two simple ways to improve your shield
Camouflage - you can use the energy of your surroundings and cover the outer layer of your eggshield with it so no one (people who are able to “see”, other magic workers) could tell you have one.
Mirror - you can add a “mirror” layer to your shield that would deflect everything bad sending towards you.

Enjoy :)

Passive Magick [Part 2]

Passive magick generally relies on using the innate properties of an item without having to charge it first, although you can still charge and program them if you wish.

Household items that can be used for magick:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Candles
  • Incense
  • Wax melts & wax warmers
  • Essential oils
  • Food items
    • herbs
    • spices
    • tea bags
    • coffee
  • Bath items
    • Soap
    • Body wash
    • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Cosmetics

Acts of passive magick:

  • Cleaning supplies
    • If your cleaning agent is scented, use the properties of that scent to match your intent
    • Visualize yourself dispelling negative energy while physically cleaning your space
      • i.e. mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc.
  • Candles, Incense, and Wax Melts
    • Light a different colored/scented candle in various rooms to invite a particular energy into that space (i.e. a purple lavender scented candle in the living room for relaxation, a green basil scented candle in the kitchen for prosperity, etc.)
      • Place a crystal of corresponding intent in the candle for an added boost
    • The same applies for incense and wax melts - use different scents that correspond to your intent at the moment
  • Essential oils
    • Mix 1 or 2 cups of tap water and 50 drops of the essential oil of your choice and boil on the stove to fill your home with the scent
    • Add a few drops of essential oil to a wax warmer for a more subtle scent
    • Combine distilled water and white vinegar (equal parts; 1:1) with 30 drops of essential oil to make a scented cleaning agent
  • Food items
    • When cooking, figure out the correspondences for the ingredients you are using and add them to the mix with intent
    • Draw sigils in the bottom of a pan with whatever cooking oil you prefer
    • Stir your tea or coffee in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion, depending on your intent for the day
    • Use the contents of a tea bag for spell jars and sachets
    • Use spice and herb mixes meant for cooking as multipurpose spell ingredients
  • Bath items
    • Find out the correspondences for the ingredients in things like soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and use those for some quick bath magick
    • If you shower in the morning, use a scent or mix of ingredients that correspond to energy and vitality
    • If you shower in the evening, visualize yourself dispelling the negative and stressful energy of the day while cleaning yourself
    • Make bath salts using epsom salt, essential oils, and dried herbs - store these in a sealed container for later use
    • Use facial scrubs for glamours that involve changing the perception of yourself to those around you
  • Cosmetics
    • Enchant your favorite perfume with intent
      • Place a crystal on top of the cap or near the bottle to keep it charged
    • Make your own roll-on perfume using a carrier oil, 30-40 drops of an essential oil that matches your intent, and gem chips to keep it charged
    • Enchant hair products for healthy hair
    • Anoint the outside of your makeup containers or compact mirrors with moon water for on the go glamour magick
  • Other
    • Add a few drops of moon water or lavender essential oil to the washer for relaxation and peace
      • If you happen to be washing bedsheets, use this method for peaceful sleep
    • Wear crystal jewelry for its innate properties (i.e. rose quartz for love, amethyst for peace, hematite for grounding, etc.)

31 Days of Pop Culture Witchcraft

image

Day 2: Write a curse inspired by the first fandom or character that made you interested in Pop Culture Witchcraft:

Gabriel- ‘Mystery Spot’ Curse
*Curse meant to make the target relive the pain and bad memories that they inflicted upon you*
Ingredients:
-A Jar
-Poppet (Clay or cloth, it works just as well either way)
-Needle and thread
-Taglock (First and Last name on a piece of paper works as well)
-Rosemary (To enhance memory)
-Onyx (Causes nightmares and mental torment)
-Two pieces of string or yarn (One black for justice, one red for confrontation)
-Lemon or Lime juice
-Black wax to seal jar (optional)
Directions:
-Fill the jar at least half way with lemon or lime juice then set it aside
-Fill the poppet with a bit of rosemary and place the taglock inside as well (You may put the Onyx in as well if you can manage to fit it, otherwise just wait for the next step)
-Sew the poppet together.
-Tie the poppet’s arms and legs together with the two pieces of string or yarn. You may also use this step to tie the Onyx firmly to the poppet as well.
-Place the poppet into the jar. (You may inflict damage to the poppet beforehand to add intensity.)
-Close the jar or seal it with black wax (it is your choice) then shake it up
-As you shake the jar, focus onto the anger or resentment that you feel for the target, the things they have done to deserve this curse etc. Do this for as long as you feel is appropriate.
-Once you are finished, place the jar in a dark place (Preferably away from anywhere that you may be a lot)
*If the curse happens to get too intense, or you feel they have been punished enough, simply take the poppet from the jar, empty it’s contents and burn or bury them (please only bury them if they are easily decompseable) then empty the jar somewhere away from your home*
*Jar can be reused for other curses if you wish to keep it*

🌸🍃 Beltane Tips! 🍃🌸

Hello, my loves! I know it’s relatively early, but I wanted to make a post about this in advance for those who need some help / inspiration with the upcoming holiday. :-) Beltane, also known as “May Day,” is at the very beginning of May, and its purpose is to continue the celebration of Spring and fertility. We bow to the abundance of the fertile Earth, and become aware of Her opening up to the fertility God. Their union gives life to healthy and strong livestock/crops and new life in general. This is inspiring to many witches and magick workers who wish to bring change into their own lives, as well as show a passionate appreciation for life itself.
- If you’re on a bit of a schedule, there are simple things you can do to show your thanks for the planet we live on and the gift of life. Much like with Ostara, just try your best to thank nature - take a short walk, notice how green everything is, eat some fresh vegetables, and take deep breaths of morning air. 🌸
- Create a Beltane altar! Include lots of green items, inspired by the lushness of the growing grass and the leaves on the trees. Also include pastels to honor Spring, such as yellows, blues, and pinks. Incorporate these lively colors into the objects in your altar - think ribbons, decorated sticks, flowers, candles, cloths, succulents, baskets, grass, chalices and statues. Add some symbolism to represent the strong  male energy of the God, which is especially potent at this time. Think sticks, acorns, seeds, antlers - and try your hand at creating your own mini Maypole! 🌿
- If you have the environment / time to do so, gather a group of friends and have a bonfire (or even just a fire in your fireplace, if you have one)! Beltane is one out of the four fire festivals in current Pagan traditions, so its presence during this time is especially welcome. Can’t have a bonfire? Light some green candles and meditate near them, perhaps while writing a list of things you wish to renew in your life. 🔥
- Eat!!! Try and incorporate milk, honey, and/or oats into your meals during this time, as well as fruits -  peaches, mango, pomegranates, and cherries. 🍒🍯🥛🍑
I hope this guide is helpful! xoxo
