Stud Like A Horse Spell

Place a whole horseradish root against your genitals whilst raising energy and murmuring your desires. Place this into a red or orange charm bag. Now with red string tie together either an Adam and Eve root (for heterosexual partners), two Adam roots (for two male partners) or two Eve roots (for two female partners), and add this to the charm bag as well. Tie up the charm bag, and keep it under your bed during sex.
Note:
- this spell should be done with the knowledge, consent, and even participation of your partner.
- Adam and Eve root refers to the plant Aplectrum; the Adam root is the more oblong root, the Eve root is the rounder root.

Spell for Inner Peace

You will need:
- A bowl of seawater (or water with a lot of salt added)
- A large bowl of grains and seeds, a variety of kinds.
- A very large bowl of lavender.
- Five beeswax candles, scented or unscented.
To be conducted just before dawn.
Using the lavender, create a large pentacle on the ground, large enough to for you to sit in and conduct this ritual.
At each or the five points where the star meets the circle, have a candle lit.
Sit inside the circle with the bowls of seawater and grains. Know that the circle is made of lavender, that calming and peaceful flower, and acts as a magnifying glass, concentrating and directing that calm and peace into you.
Acknowledge your connection to the fierce and cruel god El, and your desire to be relinquished from his grasp:
“El, fearsome God of the Sea,
Loosen now your hold on me.
Free me from my deeds of past,
Assassin’s role, from me, I cast.”
Pour the bowl of seawater into the ground before you, as an offering and sacrifice of your turbulent past to the gentle mother goddess Eda. Rise, and take the bowl of grains around the circle, sprinkling the grains upon the lavender lines of the pentacle, adding the earth-mother’s blessings to the concentration of peace that surrounds you, saying:
“Goddess of the Land and Hearth,
Welcome me on my new path,
Protect me in your warm embrace,
May peace now shine upon my face.”
Time the ritual to conclude with the dawning of the sun. Let the sub’s magnificent light and warmth shine upon you and upon the land. As the candles burn out and the lavender and grain pentacle is blown away by the morning winds, know that with this new day so too dawns your new, peaceful life.

For the beginning witch, Herbal Chart By Use and How To Use Them

How to use~
  • Elemental spells (for people who are stronger with one element than others)-
  1. Earth Spell: Place the appropriate herbs in a bag and take it to a wild place. With your hands dig a small hole in the Earth and pour the herbs into it. Visualize your need strongly. Cover your herbs and leave the area. It is done.
  2. Air Spell: Stand in an open place atop a hill or mountain, far from tall trees, buildings, and other hills. Hold the appropriate herbs in your power hand and facing north blow a little of them to that direction. Turn East and repeat, then south. At the west blow all the herbs from your hand. Visualize strongly your need, stating it in words if you wish.
  3. Fire Spell: Write or make a symbol of you need on a piece of paper cut into a triangle. While visualizing your need, place the appropriate herbs in the center of the paper and crumble it tightly so that the herbs are trapped inside the paper. Anoint with oils if you wish. Build a roaring fire in an outside pit or fireplace. Through the herb packet into the fire. As it touches the flames firmly visualize your need. Continue to do so until the packet has been consumed by flames.
  4. Water Spell: Take the appropriate enchanted herbs to a river, spring, lake or seashore. Hold them tightly in your power hand and visualize your need. With sweeping motion, scatter the herbs onto the water. The power has been sent.
  • Others
  1. Charms and sachets - Fill a small bag, of the correct color or material, with herbs to make a charm or sachet. You can carry the charm with you, hang it in the house or car, or bury or burn it, depending on the purpose, and the spell you are performing.
  2. Incense- Herbs can be burned as a ritual incense, such as the sage smudge used to clear negative vibrations from a space.
  3. Bath - Make a sachet, and place it in your ritual or healing bath. Fragrant herbs like lavender make a very relaxing bath, and you can use certain herbs to alleviate skin and other conditions, such as using eucalyptus in a bath when you have a cold or flu.
  4. Oils - Place herbs in an oil, let them steep for a few days, then strain. You can make annointing oils for you ritual work, beauty oils for your hair, skin and nails (try coconut or jojoba), or flavor oils for cooking and seasoning, such as steeping rosemary in olive oil.
  5. Teas- Use herbs to make teas for healing illness. Some herbs can be used to mildly alter consciousness, such as valerian or kava kava which can facilitate trance like states.
  6. Smoking- You can make herbal smoking mixtures which will also facilitate altered states of consciousness.
Chart~
  1. Kitchen Herbs
  • *Anise* Planet: Mercury/Jupiter Element: Air Main magickal uses: Contacting other planes, divination, love, passion, preventing nightmares, protection, psychic development, psychic protection, purification Other magickal uses: Clairvoyance, cleansing, consecration, fertility, gain, good luck, happiness, money, weddings Lore: Paul Beyerl attributes anise to Mercury and Apollo, and suggests that it be partnered with amber stones for best effect.
  • *Basil* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: Consecration, divination (esp. about love), exorcism, fertility, fidelity, good luck, happiness, harmony, love, money, passion, peace, prosperity, protection, psychic development, psychic protection, purification, strength, success, tranquility Other magickal uses: Clairvoyance, commanding, courage, dragons, grieving, hatred, honesty, Imbolc, initiation, inspiration, invokation, prevents theft, rituals for the dead, spell-breaking Lore: Paul Beyerl says that basil is attractive to dragons, salamanders, and other fire-oriented creatures. It is sacred to the Hindu god Vishnu and his avatar, Krishna. Magickal herbals occasionally refer to it as St. Joseph’s Wort. Many cultures used basil in herbal medicine, which is not covered in this article.
  • *Bay* Planet: Sun Element: Fire Main magickal uses: Clairvoyance, consecration, divination, dreams, exorcism, healing, love, passion, protection, psychic protection, purification, wisdom, wishes Other magickal uses: endings, good luck, harmony, Imbolc, inspiration, justice, knowledge, magic, memory, money, overcome opposition, peace, psychic development, release, spell-breaking, strength, success, tranquility, transformation, Winter rituals, Yule Lore: Bay leaves come from a tree also called the laurel, and have a strong tradition as a Greek sacred plant. When the nymph Daphne wanted to avoid the passions of Apollo, she turned into the first laurel tree, which Apollo then adopted as his sacred tree. Wreaths were made from the leaves, which were also chewed and burned by Apollo’s prophetic priestesses at Delphi. It is not suggested, however, that you try chewing bay leaves, as they are rather volatile, and the amount you would get from chewing might be too much for those not trained in the use of visionary herbs. Other gods include Aesclepius (the god of healing and Apollo’s son), Ceres, and Cerridwen.
  • *Caraway* Planet: Mercury Element: Air Main magickal uses: Fidelity, love, memory, passion, preventing theft, protection, retention, sensuality Other magickal uses: consecration, fertility, gain, honesty, keeping secrets, peace of mind, weddings
  • *Celery seed* Planet: Saturn/Mercury Element: Earth Main magickal uses: Psychic development Other magickal uses: Beauty, divination, fertility, love, passion
  • *Cinnamon* Planet: Mercury/Sun/Mars/Uranus (take your pick!) Element: Air/Fire Main magickal uses: Clairvoyance, consecration, divination, energy, good luck, love, money, passion, peace, prosperity, protection, psychic development, success Other magickal uses: communication, happiness, harmony, healing, inspiration, knowledge, meditation, purification, spirituality, tranquility, wisdom Lore: Paul Beyerl suggests that cinnamon be paired with tourmaline for best effect. Cinnamon is important as a purification incense in China. Do not use externally on the body, as it irritates the skin.
  • *Cloves* Planet: Sun/Jupiter Element: Fire Main magickal uses: clairvoyance, divination, exorcism, keeps away negative forces, love, memory, money, passion, peace of mind, protection, psychic protection, purification, stopping gossip Other magickal uses: cleansing, friendship, psychic development, release, spell-breaking Lore: Cloves were originally grown in China, and made their way to Europe in the fourth centure CE (Common Era). They, like cinnamon, are not grown in the United States, but are imported.
  • *Coriander* (also called Cilantro) Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: love Other magickal uses: clairvoyance, divination, fertility, gain, health, keeping secrets, passion, peace, protection, retention, weddings
  • *Dill* Planet: Mercury Element: Earth/Fire Main magickal uses: love, protection, psychic protection Other magickal uses: Blessings, confidence, determination, dreams, fertility, gain, harmony, keeping secrets, money, passion, peace, prevents theft, retention, rest, sleep, tranquility Lore: Some hold that Dill is such a Mercurial herb that it should not be used when Mercury is in retrograde. It has a long tradition of use as a protection against magic: an old rhyme says, “Vervaine and dill/ Hinder witches of their will.” (Another version says, “Trefoil, vervain, St. John’s Wort, dill/ Hinder witches of their will.” In either case, this is specifically meant against evil witches: the healers actually used all of these herbs.)
  • *Fennel* Planet: Mercury Element: Air/Fire Main magickal uses: confidence, courage, fertility, longevity, love, Midsummer, protection, psychic protection, purification, strength Other magickal uses: Commanding, consecration, divination, energy, gain, meditation, Summer rituals, virility Lore: Fennel was used by the Saxons and by Jewish mystics as an asperger and purifying herb. It also had a history of use by the Greeks, Romans, and Germans, and it followed colonists to the New World. Aoumiel associates it with the God.
  • *Garlic* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: exorcism, magic, passion, protection, spell-breaking, strength Other magickal uses: clairvoyance, commanding, confidence, consecration, courage, divination, healing, longevity, money, overcoming opposition, prevents nightmares, purification, stopping gossip, success, weather (fair) Lore: Garlic is one of the few “herbs” whose powers have survived into modern superstition, where it gives protection against vampires. (Silver RavenWolf says that it is also helpful against psychic vampires.) The Greeks attributed it to Hecate, the primary goddess of magic. It is also sacred to the Great Mother, Cybele. Its use actually goes back even further to the Sumerians. Besides its strong psychic protection, it also protects health when eaten regularly. It was beloved in most ancient societies that had it, to the extent that the builders of the Pyramids were paid partially in garlic, and at one point went on strike to get more (according to graffiti inside the Pyramids, left by the workers). *Ginger* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: love, passion, psychic protection Other magickal uses: cursing, health, psychic development, sensuality, success
  • *Lavender* (a stretch, but it appears in some gourmet recipes) Planet: Mercury Element: Air Main magickal uses: clairvoyance, cleansing, consecration, happiness, healing, love, Midsummer, money, passion, peace, peace of mind, protection, psychic protection, purification, tranquility Other magickal uses: blessings, chastity, divination, dreams, energy, gentleness, good luck, grieving, harmony, keeping secrets, magic (esp. to increase the duration of a spell), meditation, memory, psychic development, retention, ritual, sleep, stability, virility, weddings Lore: Attributed by some to Hecate, Saturn, and snake goddesses. Aoumiel also calls it attractive to elves.
  • *Lovage* Planet: Venus/Sun Element: Earth/Water Main magickal uses: love Other magickal uses: beauty, cleansing, consecration, money, passion, protection, psychic protection, purification Lore: The main uses concern love and beauty, hence, one assumes, the name “Lovage.”
  • *Mace* Planet: Mercury Element: Air Main magickal uses: Clairvoyance Other magickal uses: fertility, gain, good luck, love, protection
  • *Marjoram* Planet: Venus/Mercury Element: Air Main magickal uses: grieving, happiness, love, money, protection, psychic development, psychic protection, tranquility, weddings Other magickal uses: Animals, cleansing, courage, dreams (of love), harmony, peace, rituals for the dead, success Lore: Attributed to Venus by the Romans, but also sometimes to Aphrodite, Thor and Jupiter. In case you’re confused about the use for both grieving and happiness, it is meant to restore happiness to the grief-stricken.
  • *Mustard seed* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: fertility, health, love, passion, protection Other magickal uses: commanding, cursing, exorcism, gain, good luck, sensuality, spell-breaking, strength, success, virility
  • *Nutmeg* Planet: Jupiter Element: Fire/Air Main magickal uses: clairvoyance, divination, money Other magickal uses: dreams, fertility, gain, love, meditation, passion, prosperity, protection, psychic development, rest, sleep
  • *Onion* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: exorcism, protection Other magickal uses: Clairvoyance, cleansing, contacting other planes, divination, healing, lunar rites, magic, purification, spell-breaking Lore: The link to the moon seems to be mostly due to color and shape. In protective magick, just as in cooking, onion is often combined with garlic.
  • *Oregano* Planet: Venus Element: Air Main magickal uses: happiness, tranquility Other magickal uses: Animals, grieving, harmony, love, peace, protection, psychic development, weddings
  • *Parsley* Planet: Saturn Element: Earth Main magickal uses: divination, happiness, passion, protection, psychic development, purification Other magickal uses: clairvoyance, cleansing, consecration, contacting other planes, fertility, good luck, invokation, meditation, rituals for the dead, speed Lore: Sacred to Persephone, parsley was used in the victory wreaths of the Isthmian games by the Greeks. Some also attribute it to Aphrodite and Venus, and with Mother goddesses. Parsley was thought to come from from the blood of Archemorus, a servant of Death.
  • *Pepper* Planet: Mars Element: Fire Main magickal uses: cursing, exorcism, passion, protection Other magickal uses: commanding, sensuality, spell-breaking, stops envy Lore: Stings the eyes when burned.
  • *Peppermint* Planet: Venus Element: Air Main magickal uses: cleansing, consecration, dreams, happiness, healing, love, money, passion, prosperity, protection, psychic development, purification, release, renewal, rest, sleep Other magickal uses: Animals, divination, endings, energy, exorcism, good luck, grieving, spirit offering, success, transformation Lore: Mints are sacred to the god Hades, because (as happened with Daphne and Apollo–see *bay*) a young lovely named Minthe was transformed into a mint to keep her from Hades’ embrace. Peppermint is also sometimes attributed to Zeus. Paul Beyerl suggests pairing peppermint with topaz or chalcedony for best effect.
  • *Poppyseed* Planet: Moon Element: Water Main magickal uses: dreams Other magickal uses: Binding, clairvoyance, consecration, cursing, fertility, prosperity Lore: In Greece, poppies belonged to Hypnos and Somnos, sleep gods. (Remember “The Wizard of Oz?” “Poppies will make them sleeeeep!”) They are also associated with Ceres. If you eat poppyseeds shortly before taking a drug test, you may test positive for heroin, which comes from opium, a kind of poppy. This kinship may also explain some of its magickal functions.
  • *Rosemary* Planet: Sun Element: Fire Main magickal uses: cleansing, confidence, consecration, courage, exorcism, good luck, grieving, happiness, healing, knowledge, love, memory, passion, peace of mind, prevents theft, protection, psychic development, psychic protection, purification, release, ritual, rituals for the dead, water rites/sea rituals, weddings Other magickal uses: blessings, dreams, endings, energy, elves, fidelity, honesty, inspiration, invokation, longevity, meditation, new moon, prevents nightmares, sleep, strength, transformation, wisdom, Yule Lore: Rosemary is associated in Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet” with remembrance, so its link to memory is old. Even older are its associations with general magic and healing, with feminine power–folklore had it that a healthy rosemary plant grew where a woman was head of the family–and with goddesses, especially of the sea. Catholic healers associated it with Mary. Aoumiel calls it attractive to elves. Its reputation is that of an all-purpose herb that will help with practically anything.
  • *Saffron* Planet: Sun Element: Fire Main magickal uses: Clairvoyance, divination Other magickal uses: cleansing, commanding, consecration, exorcism, healing, magic, psychic development, purification, spell-breaking, weather (raises wind)
  • *Sage* Planet: Mercury/Jupiter Element: Earth Main magickal uses: cleansing, healing, longevity, money, passion, prosperity, psychic development, psychic protection, purification, wisdom Other magickal uses: business, clairvoyance, consecration, divination, domestic harmony, energy, happiness, inspiration, keeping secrets, knowledge, love, Mabon, meditation, peace, retention, Samhain, tranquility, weddings, Yule Lore: The kind of sage found in the kitchen was brought to the New World by colonists, and was especially popular among Germans. It should not be confused with sagebrush.
  • *Savory* Planet: Venus Element: Air Main magickal uses: passion Other magickal uses: Animals, attracts males, happiness, love, satyrs, sensuality, virility Lore: Savory is ruled by and named after the satyrs, thus its many ties to sexual affairs. It was a favorite of the Romans for parties.
  • *Spearmint* Planet: Venus Element: Air Main magickal uses: consecration, happiness, love, money, passion, prosperity, protection, psychic development Other magickal uses: Animals, dreams, endings, exorcism, healing, good luck, release, renewal, rest, sleep, spirit offering, success, transformation Lore: see *peppermint.*

  • *Thyme* Planet: Venus Element: Air Main magickal uses: clairvoyance, cleansing, consecration, courage, divination, dreams, exorcism, faeries, happiness, healing, love, money, prevents nightmares, protection, psychic development, purification Other magickal uses: compassion, confidence, contacting other planes, grieving, magic, meditation, Midsummer, passion, release, renewal, rituals for the dead, Summer rituals, wishing Lore: Thyme has strong ties to faery lore. Spell Jar for Money

Here is my detailed instructions on how I made my very first spell jar! It’s written like a chemistry lab report because that’s how I’m used to writing procedural reports.
Purpose: To generate, conserve, and attract money.
Materials:
1 Small Glass Jar
1 Green Candle (Votive size)
1 White Tealight (Optional)
3 Pennies (or other Small Coins)
3 Squares of Green Paper, each 2.25x2.25in (Size and Color are Optional)
1 Dark Green Pen
Mint (Leaves or Flakes)
Green String or Yarn (Optional)
Heat Source (Flame, Hot Plate)
My Personal Jar Preparation Procedure:
1. Remove wick from white tealight, set wax inside small glass jar.
2. Heat jar over heat source until wax completely melts.
3. Set jar in a safe place to cool gradually (do not set on a wood surface, and do not ice).
4. At some point during cooling, say, “Jar of potential, hold my intent” as many times as feels appropriate.
5. Once the jar has cooled and the wax has solidified, the jar is prepared to hold magickal intent.
Actual Spell Procedure:
1. Light the green candle, and let the wax liquify.
2. Pour drops of wax into the jar in a somewhat even layer all over the bottom.
3. Sprinkle in a pinch of mint.
4. Tell the green wax and mint, “Draw money toward you and never relent”.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 layer by layer until the mint is gone. The wax may not all melt.
6. Fold the 3 squares of green paper into 3 little envelopes (or into any kind of closed container).
7. Draw a sigil on each envelope: 1 for generating money, 1 for conserving money, 1 for attracting money.
8. Insert 1 penny into each envelope.
9. With the green string or yarn, tie the three little envelopes together into a stack (Optional).
10. Drop the envelopes onto the green wax/mint layers.
11. Seal the jar in whatever way you like (maybe with green wax on top).
Decorate the jar with green and gold colors! Make it look super attractive to money ;)
Personal Notes:
The size listing for the green squares of paper refers to the appropriate paper size for folding a particular type of Japanese envelope so that it is the perfect size for a penny.
The green votive candle that I used had an “evergreen” scent, which I thought suited money well. I let the wax drip all around the inside of the glass because I thought it looked cool. The candle did not melt completely, and I ended up discarding a lot of the wax. I felt okay with this.
The jar preparation procedure is not a typical procedure. I prepare the jar by giving it a white wax base and by telling it that it will now be used for magic and magic only. In this way I feel that the jar will not be ‘distracted’, and this gives me peace of mind.

COLLECTING RAIN WATER

image
  • Rain collected during a gentle rain fall is said to inspire peace and serenity, and is useful in calming and tranquility spells.
  • Rain collected during a storm is said to carry the energy of the storm - powerful, ferocious, energetic.  Use storm water for empowering spells.
  • Add hot sauce, capsaicin or extremely hot crushed peppers (with caution) to storm water to get fire water, useful for warding and curses.
  • Rain collected during a wind storm, such as a hurricane or tornado, is said to help with letting go and moving forward.  That being said, collect with caution and never put yourself in danger to do so.
  • Rain or hail collected from a hail storm can be used for destructive purposes, for warding against and eliminating psychic attacks or creating them.
  • Collect water off of a gravestone to create spirit water, useful for spells involving spirits and ancestors. Caution: Preferably collect this from a friend or family member who was comfortable with your witchcraft, or a spirit who has agreed to this. Always return the favor with an offering.
  • Rain collected off of a flower tends to carry the trait of that flower.
  • Rain collected from a dirt ground can be used for grounding.
  • Rain collected from a crossroads can be used for choosing a direction.
  • Rain collected from a liminal space can be used for astral travel (crossing the hedge/venturing into the Other).
  • Rain collected during a full moon is purified water or empowered with the moonlight.
  • Rain collected on sabbats are useful for those sabbats’ intents (eg, Spring Equinox for fertility, May Day for sexuality, Midsummer for sun and fire, Samhain for ancestors and spirits, etc).
  • General rain water is used for cleansing.  Use it to cleanse yourself, your house, your jewelry, your stones (that aren’t water soluble) and more.

UTILIZING RAIN AND STORMS
  • Rain and storms tend to evoke certain moods in us and are perfect for raising energy for spell work or ritual.  Just be cautious if you decide to venture outside, especially if lightning or severe weather is a risk.
  • Rain has great purifying and cleansing properties.  Consider cleansing tools that can’t be damaged by water in the rain, or step out in the rain to cleanse yourself.
  • Spells that involve letting go or cleansing are appropriate during this time.  Consider writing down negative thoughts with a watercolor pencil and set it out during a rain to watch it physically wash away.
  • For anyone who keeps plants, indoor or outdoor, rain is a great refresher.  Particularly for indoor plants, who cleanse our air and home, setting them out for a light rain shower can help cleanse them as well and suck the negativity out of their leaves.  Just be careful not to over-water indoor plants with rain water.

CALLING UPON RAIN AND STORMS
  • Beliefs vary on weather magick.  Some witches and pagans believe you can use spells to alter your local weather and some don’t.  It’s up to you to make a decision on this belief.
  • Cast a flint stone or sand behind your back to the west to call forth rain (De Lamiis Libre, 1577)
  • Splash a besom end in fresh water from a live spring, lake, stream or river.  Then use the broom to either “stir the sky” or sprinkle water above your head.
  • Call upon rain by whistling to rustle wind while pouring water from a pitcher into a bowl.
  • Use an incense recipe to call upon rain.  Some might be available at your local store or you can use a mixture of bracken, fern and heather.
  • Fling water onto your hearth stone to call upon rain.

Off the top of my head, that’s everything I can think of.  Good luck to you!

CAULDRON TIPS & TRICKS

My favorite witchly tool is hands-down the cauldron. There’s so much that can be done - elemental magick, honoring your deities, setting a hearthfire, the list goes on!
Choosing Your Cauldron: Cauldrons come in varying shapes and sizes, but are commonly made of cast-iron and have handles. There are cooking cauldrons, which operate like large soup kettles, small, portable, mini-cauldrons for indoor use, big older copper cauldrons, and modern day kettle cauldrons, safe for cooking while camping. The ideal Witch’s cauldron is cast iron, has handles, and has a lid, if only for practical reasons: The cast iron makes it safe for many heat and flame-based spells, the handles make it easy to carry when it’s hot, and the lid is used to stamp out fires before they get out of control.
Cauldron Upkeep
Rust - This is a very real danger when filling your cauldron with liquid. Remember to always rinse out and pat dry your cauldron.
Fires - Keep a lid and sand on hand to extinguish any magickal fires. If oils are used, water won’t work as well as an extinguisher.
Tradition - I like to keep a sprig of seasonal herbs, or something else decorative, in the cauldron while it’s on the altar, so it isn’t empty. You can put the lid on it, or leave it uncovered, as you wish.
Cauldron Work
This is just the tip of the iceberg - here are some of my favorite uses for a cauldron, whether on the altar or without!
  • Honoring the Elements: Fill your cauldron according to the season or day’s elemental hold. For water, you can fill your altar cauldron with spring or rainwater and float a candle and herbs/petals correspondent to the day. For fire, you can light candles to flicker in your cauldron (see below for a safe method). For earth, the cauldron can be filled with fresh dirt and decorated with an herb bundle. For air, incense can be burned in the cauldron, on a charcoal round, or as a cone.
  • Cauldron Candlefires: You can have a blaze in your cauldron without having a hearth fire! Line the bottom of your cauldron with any type of sand (often referred to as “cauldron sand”), deep enough to stick candles of your choice in. The sand will support them, and the wax will be easier to take out.
  • Incense: Cauldrons are fantastic vessels for incense. I use mine to hold my loose resin incense, burning on a charcoal round. The handles make it perfect for carrying around a sacred space to welcome visitors and the deities. Sand should be laid down in the cauldron, and stick incense can then be placed in it to burn, or a lit charcoal round, or a piece of cone incense.
  • Scrying: Cauldrons are wonderful crying vessels. An experienced scryer can fill a cauldron with water and gaze within, or you can wax scry by dashing warm candle wax into cold cauldron waters, then interpreting the symbols.
  • Offerings: You can use cauldrons as offering bowls for your altar, your deities, or for any other purpose.
  • Balefire: Cauldrons traditionally were used to hold balefires, sacred fires of nine woods. You can safely keep a small balefire in your cauldron by layering some sand, making a small hole, placing some kindling, then topping with your bale woods (which don’t need to be nine - you can light a non-bale, regular magickal fire with your regular woods).
The possibilities only expand when you have a food-safe cauldron for cooking. Go forth, Witches, and cast! :>
