Cù-SìthCù-Sìth (singular) or Coin-Sìth (plural) is a magical hound native to Scotland and the Hebrides. Growing from the size of a large British sheepdog to the size of a young bull the Cù-Sìth resembles a wolf in appearance, although its coat is usually a dark green or white colour. Its paws can be up to, and in some cases, bigger than the size of a mans hand. The tail of a Cù-Sìth is often long and may look as though coiled or plaited due to how the fur curls.Generally found in the Scottish Highlands, some wixes have been known to mistake a Cù-Sìth for a Grim, due to the size, appearance and often dark colouration. Cù-Sìth usually make their dens in clefts of rock and caves, although they are known hunt on the moors and in the mountains also.It is said that the bark of a Cù-Sìth can kill or warn of death, although this has been proven to be incorrect, a bark more usually, like with many animals, being a warning. Those who ignore the warning will be responded to with many more barks and may well be attacked by the Cù-Sìth whose huge size almost always kills the interloper.
