My Beltane Ritual

While the northern hemisphere (and majority of blogger) witches celebrate Samhain, here in the Southern Hemisphere it is Beltane. Now, as a secular witch, I don’t usually celebrate the wheel of the year, but at Beltane the veil between worlds is just as thin as at Samhain, but it is a time of light, the beginning of Summer. This year it also falls upon a new moon, a time of darkness and new beginnings. Thus, today exists a powerful balance of spiritual energies, something I did not want to ignore.
I used the power of the day to create a wardkey, an amulet of protection and guidance in the spirit realm. There were many layers involved in the ritual, and it was possibly the strongest piece of magic I’ve ever performed. I’ve since eaten and grounded, but I still feel elated and euphoric, the residual energy of the spell still running through me.
It is times like this that remind me why I love being a witch.
