I was really excited to get this deck. While it was more of a “I love the show and need the deck they used” purchase then something I thought I would work with a lot, I might actually start breaking this deck out more and using it! At first glance, this interview was really harsh, but after looking at it a bit more it really isn’t a bad interview at all! It is painfully honest though.
1. Tell me about yourself. Page of Swords
This is an energetic deck that is ready to tackle any issues that need to be addressed. I am really happy to see a card like this in this position because it shows that it can be fearless and will tell me what needs to be done, rather than what I need to hear. It shows passion and integrity and that it will charge on into issues when needed.
2. What are your strengths? 10 of Swords
This deck will be good at cutting ties. Although it wont be pretty, and wont always be neat, it will be exactly what needs to be done. It can help myself and others cut their losses and will be able to tell when it needs to happen. Not sure about a relationship? If it needs to end, this deck will tell you.
3. What are your weaknesses? 10 of Wands
I do feel like this deck is weighed down a bit by the burden it takes on by being a little harsh, but this card is also telling me that it will not make it easy on me or others. It may not show the easy way to go about doing things, but it will be the way that it will need to be done.
4. What can you teach me? 5 of Pentacles
This deck is going to teach me how to better deal with loss. When I cut ties, it is going to teach me how to also deal with that isolation and potential financial losses as well (in case its the loss of a job and not a relationship). Together we can tackle the insecurities. Basically its telling me I can go to this deck before, during and/or after a loss and it can help me get through it.
5. How can I best learn from/collaborate with you? 4 of Wands
After the rest of the interview, this card is letting me know that it will show me how to celebrate my losses, since while they will be initially painful, after the pain has dulled, they should be celebrated. Loss is really what grows us as people, and pushes us to better ourselves, and that should be celebrated.
6. What is the outcome of us working together? 2 of cups
Now this card is interesting in this position, after the rest of the reading. It may be telling me the end result of our working together, which would be after cutting all ties that need to be cut, it will lead to a union. ALTHOUGH, I don’t know if I get the traditional feel/meaning of this card from this particular deck. On normal 2 of cups, it shows a union, but on this deck, it shows a single cloaked figure, with the two cups pouring the liquid all over the ground around him. What I think this deck is really telling me is that the final outcome of the two of us working together, is going to be that it is going to show me how to fully enjoy solitude. It doesn’t mean I will be ultimately alone, but it will show me how to enjoy loneliness and it will show me how to be more independent.
