This is my online Grimoire, complete with my spells, the spells of others, and masterposts. Feel free to use this as your own Grimoire, or take bits and pieces from it.
“An’ it harm none, do what thou wilt.”
When to do it:
Waning or New Moon Method:
Tak the time to sit, lit candles if you wish and focus on your intent (chasing the nightmares away). While
putting the ingredients in your bag, focus on your needs for each of them: having a calm
and restful sleep. Say it out loud if it helps. Close the bag, repeat your will one more time.
Let the bag charge under the New Moon for a night before putting it under your pillow. I wish you a peaceful sleep <3
First spread inspired by Red Riding Hood (requested by whimsically-intuitive): Lost in the forest. Like
the little Red Riding Hood, you are wondering and lost your path. And
now, you are hesitating on the road to take. This spread is here to help
you:
1. Starting the path in the woods:Your current mindset, how you look at your situation About option one: 2. Losing the path: what are the obstacles coming your way 3. Growing up: Which part of you will help you to overcome them 4. The Lesson: how will this way transform you? About option two: Repeat the same questions than for cards 2 to 4 with the cards 4 to 7 :)
I
am an energy witch! Energy work is one of the best ways to do easy,
inexpensive, and on the go magic! With practice, one can produce the
same results with energy magic as with spells. But how does one start?
๐ฎMeditation.
This is very important! Choose a set time each day, and a method of
meditation, and try to get in tune with your energy. Even 5 minutes is
good.
๐ฎTry to sense the energy around you. Go with your instinct. Feels high energy? Or maybe low? Just practice this.
๐ฎTry an energy spell, such as a psi ball exercise. Simple is best to start with.
๐ฎVisualize! Daydream, actively visualize, or work on what I like to
call your “mind palace” (Sherlock fans know what I’m talking about ๐)
๐ฎTry to “see” energy though visualization. What color is it? What shape? Can you move it? Just play with it.
๐ฎWork on raising energy, use music, exercise, meditation, hanging out
with friends, drawing, hobbies, basically whatever makes you happy and
energized. Everyone will have different ways of doing it.
๐ฎAgain, meditation! It doesn’t need to be long, one can even sit for 2
minutes, feel their energy, and be like “good it’s there”.
๐ฎWork on being aware of your own energy.
Aries:
can’t handle fighting and losing people. They act like they’re happy to
let people go, but in reality they regret fighting and want those
people back, they hate loosing people that mean something to them. Taurus:
is afraid that no one actually wants them around, and they’re easily
forgotten about to the people who mean the most to them, is constantly
wondering if they mean anything to anyone. Gemini: They try
so hard to fit in and be friends with everyone they change who they are
themselves , but would rather change than be alone, because being alone
is extremely scary to them. Cancer: tries to act happy all
the time. They feel like if they let others see them upset, they’re
disappointing them. Needs to make sure everyone around them doesn’t
worry about them, no matter what the cost. Leo: Believes
they are unlovable and that everything that goes wrong is their fault.
They try to act tough and like they don’t care, but deep inside, they
are probably the most sensitive person you will ever meet. Virgo:
has trouble handling life. They may seen like they have everything
under control and in order, but in reality they have trouble making it
every hour of the day. It’s hard for them to stay positive. Libra: Can’t
be without a lover because they need to invest time in others so they
don’t have to focus on themselves. Hates having to deal with their own
problems so they hide them and pretend everything is fine. Scorpio:
is scared of getting close to people. They love being trusted by others
but have a hard time trusting others. Are afraid one day this will push
everyone away but they don’t know how to fix it. Sagittarius:
Wants only love and to be loved. When they aren’t with someone, they
start to feel hopeless and like they aren’t good enough for anyone. Capricorn: Invests
themselves in trying to get to the top, so they tend to not have deep
connections with anyone. They’re afraid because of this that they’ll be
alone forever. Aquarius: Doesn’t feel emotions like they
think they should. They get into relationships and don’t feel anything
for a while, and because of this they believe there’s something wrong
with them and hate themselves or it. Pisces: Actually has
no idea what they’re doing in life and day dreams to make themselves
feel better. Is lost and confused but acts like they have everything
under control and hates asking for help.
As
long as you can focus your energy and set your intention your spell
should work, so I’ve designed these 5 spells using just one word for a
Witch who needs a quick fix.
Mariquil
Pronounced mar-e-quil Used
to calm a temper or an upset person. From the latin word for sea, mare,
and the english word tranquil. Essentially you are calling the sea
inside them to be still. For better results cast with wet hands.
Univert
Pronounced Uni-var Used
for faster transport. I use it at the train station to have a shorter
wait time but really its designed for traffic lights. By combining uni
from universe and vert, the french word for green, you’re essentially
asking the universe to make your path green.
Visididen
Pronounced Vis-e-did-en
Used
to go unnoticed or invisible. Taken from the english words vision and
hidden. For best results chant it softly while visualising yourself
turning transparent.
Lapagna
Pronounced Lap-ag-na
Used
when you just need someone to shut the f**k up but are too polite to
say so. Taken from the Latin words lapis and magna, meaning stone and
voice. For best results hold a stone or some earth while casting, if
they’re really pissing you off just throw the stone or dirt at them.
Bavarignis
pronounced Bav-are-ig-ni
Used
to strike up a conversation or to continue a conversation. Taken from
the French word bavarder, which means chat, and the Latin word ignis,
which means fire. Basically you’re asking for the conversation to spark
or catch fire. For best results flick a lighter in your pocket or light a
match.

Rose bath product(s) (I used a Lush bubble bar called ‘Rose Jam Bubbleroon’)
Rose petals (I used potpourri because it’s what I had to hand) – for self love
Lavender (Again, I used potpourri) – for calming, love and purification
Vanilla candles and tea lights – for sweet thoughts about oneself
Sea
salt (I used the dead sea protection salt from this month’s witch
casket - contained nettles and patchouli) – to dispel any negative
thoughts and to protect oneself from doubt
Rose quartz (I used a necklace) – for unconditional love and compassion
Method;
Run your bath using your rose bath products
Throw in your rose petals and lavender, speaking the words; “Lavender and rose, For calming and love I draw my power From the moon above”
Scatter your sea salt throughout the bath
Light your candles
CAREFULLY get into the bath
Wash yourself with the warm water, feeling the warm energies flow into you
I suggest some mindfulness or meditation at this point! There are a million and one posts about how to do that!
When you’re finished with the bath, say these words before you get out: “I feel the magick and energy flow, With each incantation, I grow and grow And to finish my spell, on the candles, I blow” [blow out your candles]
Empty the bath and save the petals for a charm bag to carry with you and continue feeling the effects!!
It
does not matter that we cannot see air physically - it is active,
powerful, and, obviously, crucial to survival. In terms of magick, the
element of air encourages newness, freedom, and visualization. Air is
inspiring and imaginative, and all that must be done to connect with
this element is take a deep breath - feel the freshness of air filling
your lungs. Go outside and feel the gentle breeze against your face. Let
these things remind you just how good it feels to be alive. ♡
Air in Magick
♡
Here is a mini guide to the use of air and its correspondences in witchcraft practices! GODDESSES:Urania, Aradia, Nuit, Cardea. GODS:
Enlil, Shu, Thoth, Mercurym.
DIRECTION:East. COLOR: Yellow. USAGE IN RITUALS: Freedom, knowledge, travelling, studying, wind magick, concentration SENSE:Smelling and hearing. HERBS: Leaves, dill, flowers in general. The Air Signs
♡
The air signs - Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius - are
the “smart thinkers” of the bunch; the ones who are best at handling
abstract reasoning, are naturally clever, and are skilled at being
overall perceptive. They will handle issues with rationality, looking at
all sides of the equation… Balance is important to the air signs, just
as important as helping to make situations better. However, just as with
the wind, the air signs can blow hot or cold - when off balance, air
signs have a hard time coming back to full mind-body, usually focusing
heavily on just one or the other (this is why meditation can be so
beneficial for these signs). However, generally speaking, air signs are
witty and full of thoughts, weaving through ideas as quickly as wind
rustles the leaves of a tree.
Hi sweeties! A new jar for you today!
Trouble
focusing and concentrating/channeling extra energy into positive,
useful ways is not a new struggle in my household. This jar was a
request, but also something I found to be useful for people in my own
home, so it was a joy to make, filled with love!
Let’s start!
sea salt - for purification
caraway seeds - for mental power
lavender - for peace and protection
rosemary - for mental power
basil - to dispel confusion, fears and weakness
With
each added ingredient, focus that intent and love into each of your
layers. The magic is in you and your intent, so don’t be afraid to spend
time on each layer! Once you are finished, you can cork up your bottle
and speak your intent into the whole bottle, definitely spend time
concentrating and focusing while doing this, as it is the purpose of the
bottle, infuse it with these things!
While doing so, you can repeat to yourself– “Peace will come, focus will stay.My energy will be used in a productive way.”
Hi sweeties! I hope you are having a beautiful day!
This
is a jar that has been requested multiple times, and like always, if
you ask for it, I will make it! I find this to be more of a mental
protection bottle! (This is not going to put a force field up and
protect you from gun shots or anything, okay) So let’s get started!
cinnamon - for protection
dill - for protection
sea salt - for purification
basil - for protection
black pepper - dispels evil
dried onion - for protection
This
is a pretty straight forward jar, so protection, protection, protection
should be all your thoughts are about while making this. Also
envisioning this jar keeping a protective energy barrier around you
while you have it with you. While making this bottle and corking it, you
can say something along the line of this – “May safety come, May safety stay. May this bottle keep all negativity away.”
After
you are finished, you can seal up your bottle with wax, I use colors in
correspondence with my intent, this one being dark purple (I would have
used black but I can’t find black candles at the moment!)
Hellllooo honey bees! I have a new jar for you today!
I
was excited to create this one! Everyone loves a good love spell. I am
not a fan of a lot of them though, because consent is key and if you
cast a spell on someone to love you against their will, well, that’s not
cool, okay? This spell jar is about putting it into the universe to
bring someone who loves you your way, may it be a friend or a lover,
just someone who loves you purely!
So let’s get started!
cinnamon - for love or lust
dill - for love or lust
cayenne pepper - for love
parsley - for love or lust (also for fertility!)
lavender - for love and peace
lemon peel - for love and friendship
With
each layer, imagine what you desire in a friend/lover, what it feels
like to be cared for, etc. Infuse each layer with your intent and
belief, speak it out loud, declare it as truth! Your words have power! One
you are finished, you can cork your bottle and focus your intent into
it as a whole bottle, you can repeat something like this if you would
like – “Let this bottle bring me love in the purest form, Let it be so true that it will never leave me torn. May it be a friend, or may it be a lover, May it be a love unlike any other.”
After you are finished, you can seal up your bottle with wax, I use colors in correspondence with my intent, this one being red.
Hi, babies! I hope it is nice where you are as it is where I am today! It’s
one of the nicest days we’ve seen so far, which is something that is
taking some getting used to since moving up north, which is quite a
change since I grew up in the south!
This little bottle is, as
it says, for happiness. Pure happiness, in and out. Everyone needs a
little bit of sunshine in their day, right?! Right! Let’s get on with
this guy then!
sea salt - for protection
basil - for confidence and courage
marjoram - for happiness
rosemary - for matters of the heart
oregano - for joy
mint - for peace
orange peel - for emotional peace
This
jar was made with the intent of happiness inside and out, because I’m a
believer that happiness with yourself is so so important, because you
are worthy of love and happiness, always!
As you fill it up,
declare what each herb is going to do for you, and FEEL that happiness
in your voice as you declare it (believe it!) cork that up, and seal it
(I used yellow, lemon scented wax because what is happier than yellow
and lemons to me? Not much!
Carry it around when you need some sunshine in your day!
Hi, cuties! Today’s jar is
something that is all about moving on, letting go, and healing! I know
we have all suffered a broken heart before, so I made a little something
special to help!
First, I want to start off by saying that
it DOES get easier, and I know it hurts right now, but with time, it
gets easier. It’s important to love yourself right now and not forget
that your self worth doesn’t come from other people!
Let’s get on to the jar!
sea salt - for purification
sage - to banish negativity
thyme - to help you move forward
rosemary - for matters of the heart
orange peel - for emotional peace
For
this jar, it is so important to focus that intent and believe it!
Imagine yourself happy, full of life without the person, speak truths
about yourself and what you are and who you can be without this person!
You can say things like– “Without xxx I am still beautiful.” “I release myself from the pain of this relationship” “I no longer am bound by pain from xxx” “I have moved on to greater things. “I deserve better, I will have better.”
Don’t
forget, you don’t have to have someone’s approval to be happy or worth
anything! You are beautiful and talented and amazing, you rock, and you
will be happy again! You can also write a little freedom statement and
roll it up and put it in your bottle if you would like!
After
you are finished, you can cork and seal up your bottle with wax, I use
colors in correspondence with my intent, this one being pink (I wanted
to use silver but I can’t find silver candles?!)
Anonymous
asked: Hey what's the best way for someone in a bad household to
cleanse their materials before making a sigil? Like, I know I have to do
it constantly because of all the negative energy my parents put out,
but I can't use any sort of fire because I'm scared of fire and I have
to be really discreet
Hi there! Sorry to hear about the negativity in
your home, that really sucks :( Hopefully it will clear out on its own
soon. In the meantime…
You could try a [liquid cleansing spray]. (I made this one myself, I liked it a lot and it smells awesome.)
Here’s a post that list multiple [methods of cleansing].
Here are some [alternatives to smoke cleansing with sage].
Other cleansing spells / ideas:
Hi sweeties! Today’s jar
was a much requested one– motivation to not only CLEAN your home but
also to CLEANSE it! What a fun jar to create!
Let’s get on to it!
allspice - for determination & to add energy to our spell
bay leaf - for purification
black pepper - to banish negativity
sea salt - purification
basil - to drive off hostile spirits
chili pepper flakes - for energy
lemon peel - for cleaning and purification motivation
cloves - for cleansing and driving away negativity
Adding
each layer, speak and declare your intent with confidence, spend time
to let it sink in, and allow the layers to build on each other. Once
you’re finished, focus your intent onto the bottle as a whole, you can
repeat something like this – “As I clean, let me also cleanse. As I sweep away dust and negativity, may only love and light be allowed in.”
After you feel confident in what you have put into your jar, cork it, and seal it with wax if you’d like and you are finished. You can charge them in moonlight if you feel like they need a little kick!
As promised, and requested, a bottle sealing post!
A important reminder first– be careful when you’re using candles, don’t set your shit on fire. You
can use any candle for this, I use different candles (colors and
scents) depending on what I associate with the bottle I’m making (yellow
& lemon for happiness, blue for sleep, etc.) you don’t have to do
this, but you can. You can also use regular candles instead on tea
lights, but tea lights usually melt faster for me.
Also, I don’t
know (or actually care?) if this is the proper way to seal a bottle with
wax, witchcraft doesn’t need to be fancy, and my personal craft is
focused on using what I already have, and going out to purchase
“special” items as little as possible, nothing wrong if you do, but I am
a very small budget witch, and I like the challenge that comes with it.
I happen to be a bit candle crazy, so this works well for me.
Okay, so here we go!
Set
down a piece of paper if you don’t want to get wax on your stuff, light
that little tea candle (or regular candle) and let it start to melt. I
usually light my candle before I start putting together my bottle, so it
is usually close to ready by the time I’m done.
Once the
tea light is melted all the way (or big candle, deep enough to dip) I
dip the top in! If you are using a bigger bottle than I am, you can
remove the wick usually with a pair of tweezers, but I don’t like to do
this because I never use all the wax, so it’s a waste if I take out the
wick!
Pull it out, you can blow on it to help it cool
faster, dip it again, out, blow on it, a few times until it’s pretty
covered and the top is pretty solidly covered (pictured is after the
first dip! But you can see how covered it was when I start pouring wax
in the next photo)
If you want the drippy-witchy-wax look,
(carefully) pick up your candle and pour wax over the bottle top (see
why we put that paper down, now?) I usually smooth out the top with my
thumb, gently while it’s cooling down. Once cooled down the wax on the
paper usually comes right up, and I usually stick it back in the candle
to melt down for later.
Usually I stick mine in the fridge to cool down and harden (my house is warm bc we don’t control the heat)
And
ta-da! Your bottle is sealed up. Also, I think you could probably carve
a sigil in the top if you’re into sigils (I don’t personally use them,
but I imagine you could!)
There we go, it’s
super easy, no one taught me how, I just sat down and was like “OKAY, so
how am I going to seal this without covering the whole damn bottle in
wax????” and this is what I came up with! If you don’t want whatever is
in your jar to move around (I usually pack mine pretty tight, so it’s
okay) I would just pour the wax on top, it will be messier though.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot them over my way!
Have a beautiful day, babies. I hope this was helpful!
Hello, cuties! A new jar, a much needed jar today!
We’ve
got a prosperity jar on our hands, because who doesn’t need some help
in that area! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t! We’ve got a pretty simple
list of ingredients today, so it isn’t going to be difficult to make.
Let’s get into it!
allspice - for money
chamomile - attracts money
mint - also attracts money
bay leaf - for good fortune and success
ginger - for success, power and money.
* I used dried ginger but you can also use ground ginger!
As
always, focusing each intent for each ingredient, think about bills you
need to pay, goals you want to reach, etc. If you are making this with a
specific amount of money in mind, I would write the amount (or goal in
general even!) on the bay leaf before putting it inside!) After
everything is in the jar, you can cork it and focus the intent into the
whole jar, believe it, speak it, declare it as a truth! There is so much power in your words and in your belief, don’t forget that! You can say something like this while doing so – “While I carry this jar around, Solutions and money will surely be found.”
After
you are finished, you can seal up your bottle with wax, I like to use
colors that correspond with my intent for each bottle.
I
want to do this jar a little differently than my others. I want you to
craft and make this jar in your creative space. I want you to add bits
of other things if there are specific things that inspire you or mediums
that you work with (glitter, pencil shavings, etc) to make this more
personal. I made this particular one for my wife, so I didn’t add
anything particular because her medium is more musical than anything
else.
So, I want you to do this all in your creative space because
I want you to be able to visualize yourself creating the whole time as
clearly as possible and to be able to draw energy in this mindset as
best as possible.
As you layer in the ingredients, speak out loud
that you are going to create, what you want to achieve, how you want to
do it, etc. But say it as an “I will” or “I am” rather than “I wish”.
Once
you are finished, meditate a bit and really visualize yourself and your
creativity physically blooming out of you! Cork and seal that baby up
(I wanted to add glitter to my wax, but again, this was for my wife and
not for me! Haha!) and keep it at your workspace. Give it a little tap
or shake or meditate with it when you need a boost, and don’t forget to
charge it in the moonlight from time to time!
I
am so excited to share this jar with you. It’s been on my to-do list
for ages and I finally got around to it. This jar is a specific jar for
folks who practice different forms of divination!
If you have a
specific place you do your divination work, I would suggest you do it in
this space because I believe it helps with the visualization process of
crafting this spell jar! So go ahead and prepare your space and light
the candle you will use to seal the jar later on. Take some time and
state the intent for your jar and clear your mind to begin.
Layering the ingredients, speak out loud the purpose and what they will aid you in. Speak it as a truth!
If
there is anything you would like to add to the jar that has to do with
divination (I’m thinking tea leaves if you read those!?) go ahead and do
so! The more personal you can make it, the better!
Go ahead and
seal that up and seal it with wax and don’t forget to charge it if you
feel like it needs a kick, or at least every few moon cycles!
It’s almost here! Samhain
is next week, can you believe it? Time is flying on my end. I’ve been
meaning to post this for over a week now, but am just now finding the
time! Samhain is seen by some as the end of the “witch’s year” and bring
this year to an end means letting go of this year and embracing the
new! This jar focuses on letting go and making peace with your year and
setting up your new intentions and preparing for your year to come.
ground ginger - welcoming adventure and new experiences
black pepper - banishing and releasing negativity from this year
sage - self purification for a blank slate
anise - aide in finding happiness
cloves - for help in gaining what is sought
Like
any of my jars, I recommend starting out with meditation, lighting the
candle you will seal the jar with and taking time to clear your head and
focus as much as you can on this. If it helps, I would also write down
all of what you want to let go of, you can burn this or bury it if you
want to. I also would recommend (witch or not!) to write out your intent
and goals for the year to come so you have a physical reminder to
meditate with and look at daily to keep yourself focused. Visualize
these things while you assemble your jar and take as much time as you
need! Seal your jar up and meditate with it when you can to refocus your goals!
I
know Samhain is usually associated with the fact that the veil is thin
during this time, so spirit work is popular, but for those of us who
don’t work with spirits, I wanted to bring something else to the table
Feeling down in the dumps? Try this recipe, it’s what I use when I’m not feeling too good either. ๐✨
๐ฏ A drizzle of honey.
๐ต A packet of peppermint tea.
✨ A sprinkle of powdered ginger. (You can also use slices of fresh ginger instead of the powder form.)
Mix it all together and enjoy. The tea should soothe headaches, sore throats, and upset stomachs. ๐
⚠ While ginger can help to soothe a fever, be aware that too much of it can actually give you a fever or make you worse. Please only use a little bit at a time. Also, please don’t use this as a substitute for proper medical care.⚠
Just because the sun’s come out doesn’t make everything better. But deep into those cold winter nights, some cozy vibes definitely couldn’t hurt. Amber is true to its color, warm and radiant. Whether it’s unwieldy feelings or abrasive physical pain, hold tight to some amber for a clearer path to recovery. Amber cuts to the core, works through that chill you can’t shake and unlocks those shackles of bad karma you may have inherited.
Take some advice from our good friend Rumi—clever people want to change the world, wise people want to change themselves. It’s about time you looked after yourself.
Clear the mind with amber. Place this ancient fossilized resin over your Solar Plexus to harness the healing power of the sun. It’ll wipe away those cloudy thoughts, fight the woes of cuffing season and transform your self-esteem.
Feeling a little off? Invite in Amber to ease the stressy vibes and jumpstart the fullest lived life.
We had a bought of hate on
my blog a few weeks ago, and it has spurred me to promote self love
even more than I already do. So that’s what we are doing today! Here we
go!
Basil - courage & confidence
Rosemary - happiness & peace
Marjoram - love
Lavender - love
Cloves - releasing negativity
Ginger - confidence
Rose (if you have it!)
Okay
my little cuties, like always, light the candle you’re gonna seal up
your jar with before you start, state your intention. I usually suggest
taking some time to meditate or clear your head, to get yourself in a
good mental state before you start this. But this time, I have a few
other suggestions. If you’re like me you might find it hard to love
current you, may it be because you’re not happy with who you are, where
you are, etc etc. I think sometimes in situations like this, it’s a good
idea to take time to think of yourself as “little you”, or the
childhood version of you when starting out with this. This quote is
something that helps me with this (I literally wrote it out and had it
taped to my mirror for several years with a photo of 5 year old me) —
“Picture yourself when you were five. In fact, dig out a photo of
little you at that time and tape it to your mirror. How would you treat
her, love her, feed her? How would you nurture her if you were the
mother of little you? I bet you would protect her fiercely while giving
her space to spread her itty-bitty wings. She’d get naps, healthy food,
imagination time, and adventures into the wild. If playground bullies
hurt her feelings, you’d hug her tears away and give her perspective.
When tantrums or meltdowns turned her into a poltergeist, you’d demand a
loving time-out in the naughty chair. From this day forward I want you
to extend that same compassion to your adult self.” - Kris Carr.
It helps me to think about little me, it makes me easier to love me, and then to love current me.
With
that in mind, it may also be helpful to take time and write a letter to
yourself, a letter of love and encouragement to either past you or
future you, a letter overflowing with encouragement, compliments and
love. Love the way you would love your best friend, your mother, your
daughter, etc. Someone you love unconditionally, but let that person be
you. Tell yourself all the amazing things about you, allow yourself to
let go of all the things that you dislike, the things that aren’t
relevant, because you’re actually fucking rad. You’re fucking amazing,
you deserve to be showered in love, 10/10. You rock.
After you
are feeling fucking amazing because you ARE, go ahead and layer in those
ingredients, take some time pouring all that ooey-gooey self love into
this jar, believe each of those layers and intents, honey!
If you’re wondering
why I used glitter, my logic is that nothing bad in my life has ever
come from using gold glitter, so why not?
Today I’ve got
probably the easiest, most beginner friendly jar I’ve ever posted. I
need good luck, you probably need some good luck, this is what we’re
making today. Usually I have jars that have different herbs ans such for
different elements of the jar for the jar’s purpose. Not today. Today
it is literally one jar full of herbs and spices that all have one
purpose in mind – luck.
So, because of that, you can use any of
the herbs listed, as many or as few as you want to or have on hand. In
italics are the ones I’ve used in mine.
lilac
acorn
bay leaf
clover
allspice
poppy seeds
tonka bean
aloe
caraway seeds
catnip
parsley
chamomile
dill
star anise
While there are others, I have only listed a few that I feel like people have on hand.
The
put together of this jar in simple. Light your candle, focus on your
intention, and layer in your herbs. Feel free to additionally use
anything that is lucky to you. Perhaps when sealing the jar, if you have
a lucky coin you could press it into the wax to leave the print of it,
use sigils, etc. Anything to make this more personal, the better. For
me, I decided to use gold glitter just because I wanted to. Glitter is
something I always want to use in my draft but I never do, so I decided
to today because like I said, nothing bad has ever come to me when
glitter was involved, haha!
It is something I had already had the workings of written in my Google Docs.
This
is something that hits very close to home for me. My wife and I spent
years in an international LDR (we met on Tumblr years ago, actually!) so
I know the ups and the downs, the ins and the outs of LDRs. So while I
don’t normally do requests anymore, I had this one mostly written and I
can’t say no to something so close to my heart.
This can either be done when you are together physically, or over Skype (bc I know you live on FaceTime), whatever is best for the two of you!
lavender - happiness
rosemary - love
chamomile - balance
thyme - courage
cedar chips/shavings - confidence in each other
Starting
out, light a candle that you want to seal your jar with (if you want to
seal it– you can use anything you can close up and wont spill these
things out) and stating your intent. Imagine the flame and the heat
spreading the intent through the candle.
Layer your ingredients,
even maybe take time to talk to each other about how you see each layer
manifesting itself in your relationship. You are welcome to include
something of the other person’s as well in the jar, even if it is
something that reminds you of them.
Close up your jar, seal it up if you are going to. You can also carve sigils into the wax or draw it on the jar if you would like to!
If
you feel like it ever needs a kick, don’t hesitate to stick in in the
full moon light, I try to do this with any jars I am working with
currently or want to keep using.
Wishing you the best in this
really tough situation– I know it sucks, it’s a long process and can
definitely test any relationship. But I will say that any LDR I know
that has worked out are the strongest couples I know. Magic is no
replacement for commitment and hard work in a relationship, this just
helps boost you along a bit easier.
Before I even knew the word kemetism I was interested in working
alongside some of the Egyptian deities. One goddess had caught my eye; a
strong beautiful warrior lioness who took down enemies with the swipe
of her claws, Sekhmet. During the time I was doing this research
and dwelt into possibly working with Sekhmet, I was going through a
rough emotional time. To avoid much detail; I felt weak, used, and
controlled and I wanted revenge on those who made me feel that way. I
wanted to rise above them, to conquer them and give them no more power
over me, to show them how I was stronger. So of course Sekhmet was
the perfect goddess I saw fit to worship. She was strong and
independent, what I wanted. So I prayed. I connected with her and began a
fellow companionship; casual conversations. I asked for her strength
and for her to lead me on a powerful path, and she delivered. I
overcame the shitty feelings I had and felt like the strong thriving
woman I desired to be. But there was another side. With these great
confident feelings I also began exhibiting violent impulses to
physically hurt those that had emotionally hurt me. But, being me, a 90
lbs 5’4 girl… I wouldn’t exactly stand a chance in a fight even if I had
all the gods rooting behind me. This began to become a problem; I would
emotionally lash out more often and felt like I must avenge my own
symbolic death from those that had “killed” me. Sekhmet is an
astounding goddess in all her glory and I still worship to her today,
but I understood that worshiping Sekhmet alone can be dangerous. So who
else to worship then? The answer lied in the own origin story of
Sekhmet, the Eye of Ra sent to bring chaos among the people, and you
know the rest. After Sekhmet fell asleep out of drunkenness, she
transformed into Hathor, the loving cow goddess, a complete
contradiction of Sekhmet; two sides of the same coin. The two goddess
are worshipped separately but in their stories they are the same being.
Sekhmet is a predator, a lion while Hathor is prey, a cow. Hathor
represents joy and love while Sekhmet represents war. The two coincide
with each other and are an ideal couple to worship together. Sometimes
you need the strength of Sekhmet while other times you need the love of
Hathor. I’m a strong believer of unity; you cannot have happiness
without sadness. Living on one side of the scale is dangerous. If you’re
happy all the time you’ll never truly enjoy it, you need the rain to
enjoy the shine of the sun. In some occasions you definitely need one
side more, but once you find that balance it’s a perfect place to stay.
So my advice to anyone looking to be a devotee to Sekhmet is also look
into Hathor. They are both beautiful and strong goddesses, but in
different ways, both important ways.
If
you find yourself stressed or simply desire a different form of

So
I came up with this little spell idea this morning as my mom made
cinnamon toast for breakfast. This recipe is known by a lot of people,
but it so happens to be passed down to our family by my mom’s godmother.
So! To start you need:
-bread (white bread works best but use what you want)
- cinnamon
-brown sugar
- butter
- nutmeg is optional (this is my little add on hehe)
-rose quartz or clear quartz
So first of all I’d say have your
quartz with you either on the counter or if you’re in the broom closet,
like me, keep it in your pocket. It’s for helping you focus the energy
into your dish
Now! This spell is for sweeting up a friendship or relationship and you can do it 2 ways and it all had to deal with the bread.
The bread is your foundation, if you want your friendship/relationship to stablize or be more firm toast your bread first.
If you want to soften up your friend or partner bc they’re being too distant or tough don’t toast your bread.
And of course make sure you focus on your intent through this entire cooking process! :)
Next! Butter your bread, you could always make it in the shape of a sigil too for bonus action, the oven heat will activate it.
The after your butter has been spread it’s time to add the cinnamon.
This gives your spell a little extra kick and brings in prosperity. If
it’s a romantic relationship perhaps even some more spicy love too.
Lastly, add your brown sugar! Add as much as you like or as sweet as you’d like to make the recipient.
Then
pop in the oven on a baking sheet at 400 degrees ferinheit (or however
you spell it -.-) and cook until the sugar melts up a good bit.
(Warning!!!! Soft bread will try to fall apart upon removal so be careful!)
Remove from oven, let cool a little and serve! Don’t forget to have a slice yourself! It takes 2 to tango after all!
Add nutmeg for extra something something to your spell if you want too! It’s also really good on the toast!
All
of my sigils look like something else because making them look like
something else helps me to remember and use them! Different styles work
with different People, this just happens to be mine. This is honestly a
stupid explanation for it but it’s the best I can come up with.
