Purifying salt jar

When you feel the negative energy around you or inside you, open the jar, and visualize it going into the jar, like a black cloud maybe. Once it’s inside, close the lid and shake it, let the salt absorb it. You can do it several times until the salt is kinda saturated and then you can throw it :)

Crystal Herbalism - The Pink Moon

On April 11th the full moon is to rise to the occasion. This moon is known as the Pink Moon, after a flower that blooms early in the month to signify spring arrived. Buds are pink when they first appear on their branches, so the Pink Moon symbolizes the renewal of the seasons, the rebirth of the earth.
This is a time of blossoming, taking your energy that has been at rest and creating something with it. Start a new project, take a trip, sign up for a new yoga class, work on a new spell (etc). Know you are worthy of positive change, light, and magic.
Pink Moon Tea
  • 1 tsp Chamomile
  • ½ tsp Lavender
  • ½ tsp Rose Petals
Crystals: Rose Quartz & Lilac Amethyst

“Drown your sorrows” Spell

A spell to “drown”, or dispel negative thoughts, memories and just general shitty stuff from your mind.
You will need;
A sink or bowl
Pen and paper OR
An item you can chuck out after

- Fill up the sink or bowl with water, doesn’t matter if it’s warm or cold
- On the paper, write with feeling everything that holds you back, worries you, causes pain. If you need to cry, do it; crying is a natural emotional cleanser. Scrunch up the paper.
- If you’re using an item, focus your worst thoughts and feelings and pour them into the item. Hold it tight, cry on it if you need to.
- Hold the paper or item into the sink or bowl and imagine it drowning, until you feel calm, and your head is cleared.
- Dispose of the item or paper (please be responsible!)
Extra tip; If you work with herbs, you could sprinkle some into the water to cleanse and purify. Some you can use to do this are sage and rosemary, to put you at peace, you can try coriander or cinnamon

Afterwards make sure you cleanse the space you worked in; cleaning it, lighting candles or incense, whichever method you prefer.

A Bridge To Greater Understanding Spread

A spread inspired by Wonder Woman
The Amazons were given to Mankind by Zues to act as a bridge to greater understanding, and to help them find peace among themselves. This spread is designed to help us achieve a greater understanding of ourselves, personally, so that we may be that bridge of greater understanding to others.
The world is full of evil, as evident by the daily news. But, this spread was made in hopes that it will help us better understand the world by understanding ourselves, and also remind us to stand in the gap when no one else will.
This, to me, means being woke. You see the injustices, the inequalities, the racism and division of the peoples in this world…
People are deserving, even if we think they are not. We must look past all of the injustices, all of the evil we witness, to continue forward - to be like Diana and do what we can, when we can.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
1. & 2. Bracelets of Submission
  • A reminder of an injustice you have endured, and how it has strengthened you. How can you reach a greater understanding from these experiences?
3. Lasso of Truth
  • A hard truth that you have hidden away from yourself that needs to be dealt with. Is there something holding you back from being courageous and keeping you from embracing your greater understanding?
4. Antiope’s Tiara
  • How to bear the burdens that come with greater understanding. Being woke isn’t a walk in the park. The more you understand, the more burdens you bear. How can you best deal with your greater understanding?
5. The Shield
  • How to do to shield yourself from negative influence. How can you keep all the negativity of the bad things happening in the world from throwing you in to despair?
6. The Sword
  • An action that can be taken to provide the peace you wish to see in the world. Where and how do you begin to do more than you are doing now? How can you be a bridge to greater understanding for others?
7. The God-Killer
  • A closer look at what it is you are truly fighting for. What are your convictions about peace and your greater understanding? Who would you be if you did not stand for what you believe in?
This spread is certainly not a call to arms, and by no means a call for violent acts. This spread is for shadow work and introspection. What you do with this spread is for your own musings and I do not take responsibility for any of your actions.
This is one of my original spreads. If you use this spread for any promotional services please credit me accordingly!

Witchcraft and Horses

Witchcraft and Horses

I am quite certain I am not the only witch out there who rides/owns horses. With that being said, always take great precaution around horses. Never use anything that hasn’t been naturally shed (IE: hair, whiskers, ect) and always keep in mind specific equine allergens and dietary restrictions.
🐴  Horses love treats, that surely is no secret. Whether they are carrots, apples, or homemade cookies you can use a variety of sigils. Carve them into the treat, and imagine your intent as they eat them!
🐴 Horse shoes. Horse shoes are notoriously lucky! They can serve as very a very potent ingredient in luck, protection, wealth, health and banishment spells (and most likely more!)
🐴  Horse hair! Besides serving as a nice way to homemake jewelry and charms. Horses have lots of meanings and representations depending on your beliefs, their hair can certainly serve as a wonderful addition to spells, offerings to deities who have strong ties with them, and always allow you to carry them with you.
🐴  Hoof shavings. Surely we’ve all seen the grey dust which occurs after our farriers are done trimming and shawing our horses. This can be easily swept up and used in a variety of spells where you wish to add some extra kick. This is also a wonderful ingredient for curses and hexes, nothing like a good ol’ swift kick for added intent.
🐴  Fly spray! I often use a wipe or spray fly spray to draw protection sigils on my horse before they go out to turn out. Also sigils to help them use their brain and hopefully not come back with injuries.
🐴  Use a sharpie to draw sigils for protection on their shoes!
🐴 For crafty/artsy witches, don’t be afraid to sew in some sigils to saddle pads, polo wraps, draw sigils on boots. SIGIL EVERYTHING!
🐴 Horses are incredibly intuitive beings, they know what we are feeling and certainly what we are thinking sometimes. If a possibility meditating in their presence can aid in calming and grounding.

Wither and Rot Protection Bottle

Okay so let’s get into some home-brewed protective curses. What you’ll need:
- 1 bottle/jar (Like an old bottle from those essential oils you bought)
- 5 nails (Iron or Steel)
- Black Salts (Or War Salts, which is rust and salt instead of ash/charcoal and salt)
-Charged water (Rain, Sea, River, Moon, etc.)
Potentially harmful items:
-Thorns/Cactus Spines
-Crushed glass (I used it, but honestly you don’t have to. It can be difficult.)
-Moldy/rotting plant material (I used old tea leaves)
-Tobacco (Can use cigarette butts too.)
Personalize it:
-Pick a stone/Pick stones (I recommend using whatever stone you feel you have the strongest connection to. If you don’t have one of those, clear quartz or a potentially toxic stone.
-Pick some oil (If you have access to oils, that is. I used tea-tree because I use tea-tree in almost all my spellwork, along with lavender and rosemary [because those are all pretty solid choices for oils]) Note: I don’t really have any resources that touch on potentially negative aspects of oils, so I kind of just wing it.
Alright, before we get started: please make sure whatever you’re using tightly seals when it closes. If not properly sealed the contents will come out and you’ll have to deal with the consequences (which is gross, smelly and probably will make you ill).
Now get all your stuff in the container of choice in this order:
1. Salts
2. Stone(s)
3. Glass (if used)
4. Thorns
5. Tobacco
6. Moldy leaves
7. Nails
8. Water
9. Oil(s)
Now, make sure the lid is on tight before you seal it with wax. What color wax should you use? Well, what do you want to wither and rot on your supposed attackers? Use black to rot their defenses. Red to relieve them of their passions. Yellow to strip them of their stability. Blue to ruin their peace. Green to take their vitality. Orange to wither their energies. Purple to cut them off from imagination. Pink to make their relationships crumble. White to lose themselves. Silver to drain their power. Gold to make their wealth disappear. Any combination can be used. What you believe about a color is up to you, but I just used those as examples.
Where’s the taglock? I’m glad you asked, me. I personally use a sigil to represent myself. (I just don’t like putting anything from my body into a spell). You can use hair, fingernail clippings, a bit of bodily fluids or a poppet. If you take the sigil route, it can be carved into wax or drawn on the container with fancy permanent markers. Tadaaaa! Now you have protection and a curse rolled into a convenient package. As with natural decay, this spell will manifest slowly, so you won’t see results right away. Just keep this in a dark place (like a drawer or behind a bookshelf) and it’ll just keep passive-aggressively doing its thing until the wax seal breaks.

A simple attention spell

If you feel as if you’re constantly being ignored put on any sort of lip product (lipstick, lipstain, chapstick, lipbalm, ect…) look into the mirror and say: “I am beautiful. I am kind. I am the apple of everyone’s eye.” and go out with your head high.
HOW TO REVERSE: If attention becomes too overwhelming, wash off the product, look into the mirror and say “this attention is more than I can tend so now the spell must come to an end.”

Gem Elixir

Gem Elixir

“As crystals have powerful vibrations, it is easy to transfer these vibrations to water. Gem remedies, also known as elixirs or essences, can be taken internally-unless the stone is toxic. They can also be applied to the skin or put into bathwater. Remedies such as Black Tourmaline can be put into a mister in water and sprayed in the room.” ~Judy Hall (The Crystal Bible 2003)

3 Ways to Craft Gem Elixirs:

Method One:
Place cleansed crystal in a bowl or glass of distilled water. Charge all day in sunlight. For stones that are susceptible to fading, charge overnight in the light of the full moon. This method is best for stones that are non-friable, such as clear quartz, and should never be used with toxic stones like malachite. If there is any doubt in your mind about a stones toxicity, please DO NOT USE THIS METHOD. (example pictured left)
Method Two:
Place a small bowl inside of a larger bowl or dish. Put cleansed crystal inside the smaller bowl and add distilled water to the larger bowl or dish. Charge all day in sunlight (non-fading stones) or all night in full moonlight (fading stones). This is an excellent indirect method for smaller stones that are toxic and/or friable. (example pictured center)
Method Three:
Fill a bowl with distilled water. Surround your bowl with the cleansed crystals of your choice and charge all day in the sunlight (non-fading stones) or all night in the full moon (fading stones). This method is also indirect and safe for friable and toxic stones, but requires you have enough crystals to surround the bowl. (example pictured right)
Storage and Usage
Once your elixir has charged all day (or night), you have a mother tincture which should be added to more water inside of a blue or amber glass bottle and stored in a cool, dark place. If storing beyond a week, add 1/3 base of vodka or grain alcohol to discourage bacteria growth.
Gem elixirs are vibrationally potent. You can add them to aura/cleansing sprays,  put some in your bathwater,  throw some into a jar spell as a crystal correspondence, and even dress spell candles with them.
Though Judy says it’s safe to ingest the non-toxic elixirs, I’m just gonna say this: Please do your research and please ingest ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. There is a lot of wonky information out there and I’d hate to see something terrible happen to someone on account of identifying something as safe when it’s actually not. That being said, gem elixirs are super fun and versatile in their usages, even without ingesting them. Enjoy!

Star Scrying

Star scrying is a very fun way to scry, and it really feels amazing. I’ve talked about it once or twice, but here’s a more in-depth look at it.

So, what you should do is find a clear, warm night to do this on. Take a pillow and a blanket out to your driveway, and lay everything out so you can get comfortable. Get tucked in, lay your head down, and pick a star that stands out to you. Maybe find your favorite constellation, or one close to the moon. Whichever you pick, keep your eyes on it.

Focus only on this star. Stare at it until the rest of the sky goes black, leaving any shimmering dots to disappear. The star will seem to brighten, and you may feel like there is a tunnel connecting you to this amazing little light. I sometimes get teary-eyed at this point, simply because it is so emotional and amazing to connect with things like stars. If you find yourself having this moment, let it happen. It shows that the stars have unique and wonderful qualities that we can all appreciate.
Look deeper into the stars light and formulate a question or desire you may have. Get into your usual scrying state, and scry. Do your thing as you would with fire, water, or a black mirror, and let the stars reveal what they can. Take a notebook or journal and write down what you say and experienced, and then translate it to an answer to your problem/question.  I would also write how effective star scrying was for you personally, and if it was better than other methods you’ve tried. This way, you have a documentation of your experience and can decide if you want to do it again in the future.

That’s about it :) It’s easy, fun, and feels completely amazing ^_^

Daily Adorations

It is important for a magician to feel a link with the divine source of the universe every single day. In our modern society, human beings can easily become detached from that which is spiritual. In order to reaffirm our awareness of ourselves as beings who are a part of a greater Divine Self, it is important to make a ritual gesture confirming a link between the Eternal and ourselves. This Eternal Self is readily symbolized by the luminary of sol, the sun; the symbol of both Light and Life on Earth. (Self Initiation into the Golden Dawn Tradition, C. Cicero, T. S. Cicero)
Below are two different adorations for this purpose. The ceremonial magician is to choose one which they are to continue routinely every day.
LIBER RESH VEL HELIOS  - Written by Aleister Crowley
Greet the Sun at dawn (or upon rising), facing East. Say in a loud voice:
Hail unto Thee who art Ra in Thy rising,
Even unto Thee who art Ra in Thy strength,
Who travellest over the Heavens in Thy Bark
At the Uprising of the Sun.
Tahuti  sandeth in His splendour at the prow
And Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm.
Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Night!
Also at Noon, greet the Sun, facing South. Say in a loud voice:
Hail unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy triumphing,
even unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy beauty,
who travellest over the heavens in thy bark
at the Mid-course of the Sun.
Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow,
and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm.
Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Morning!
Also, at Sunset, greet the Sun, facing West. Say in a loud voice:
Hail unto Thee who art Tum in Thy setting,
even unto Thee who art Tum in Thy joy,
who travellest over the Heavens in Thy bark
at the Down-going of the Sun.
Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow,
and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm.
Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Day!
Lastly, at Midnight (or when going to bed), greet the Sun, facing North.  Say in a loud voice:
Hail unto thee who art Khephra in Thy hiding,
even unto Thee who art Khephra in Thy silence,
who travellest over the heavens in Thy bark
at the Midnight Hour of the Sun.
Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow,
and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm.
Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Evening!
It is important to give your grade sign (or Sign of the Enterer) before or during each adoration and to give the Sign or Silence, along with a stamp of you foot, after each adoration.
KHEPERU NU RA – an alternate method written by Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero
At Dawn (or upon rising), facing East, stand in the Sign of the Enterer. Say:
Praise be to thee, O Khepera in thy rising,
Yet unto thee, O Khepera in thy birth,
Hail, thou Disk, Lord of Rays, Lord of Might!
Hail, thou Reborn One, Lord of Life, Lord of Light!
Isis and Nephthys salute thee
O Risen One of the Sky,
Homage to thee, O Khepera, who art the morning’s Eye.
Give the sign of silence.
At Noon, facing South, stand in the Sign of the Enterer. Say:
Praise be to thee, O Ra in thy Zenith,
Yet unto thee, O Ra in thy Strength,
Hail, thou Disk, Lord of Rays, Lord of Might!
Hail, thou Shining One, Lord of Life, Lord of Light!
Isis and Nephthys salute thee
O Brilliant One of the Sky,
Homage to thee, O Ra, who art the Midday’s Eye.
Give the sign of silence.
At Sunset, facing West, stand in the Sign of the Enterer. Say:
Praise be to thee, O Temu in thy setting,
Yet unto thee, O Temu in thy peace,
Hail, thou Disk, Lord of Rays, Lord of Might!
Hail, thou Subsiding One, Lord of Life, Lord of Light!
Isis and Nephthys salute thee
O Fading One of the Sky,
Homage to thee, O Temu, who art the Midday’s Eye.
Give the sign of silence.
At Midnight (or when going to bed), facing North, stand in the Sign of the Enterer. Say:
Praise be to thee, O Amon in thy hiding,
Yet unto thee, O Amon in thy veil,
Hail, thou Disk, Lord of Rays, Lord of Might!
Hail, thou Eternal One, Lord of Life, Lord of Light!
Isis and Nephthys salute thee
O Concealed One of the Sky,
Homage to thee, O Amon, who art the Midnight’s Eye.
Give the sign of silence.

πŸ”₯ gather: anise, cinnamon, oranges, and red roses.
πŸ› fill the tub with hot water, be careful not to make it too hot for you.
πŸ”₯ mix ingredients into the tub. light candles around the tub if you can.
πŸ› allow the element of water to cleanse your old energies out and the elements of fire to give you new energy.
πŸ”₯  allow the heat to comfort and heal for as long as you need to.
πŸ› fire is associated with candles and blades. if you shave, this is a recommended time for it.
πŸ”₯ though you can use garnet and ruby stones in the ritual, do not put them in the water, the aluminum in them is harmful when in water. keep them nearby if you like
πŸ› if you have those basalt stones for hot stone therapy, this is a prime moment to use them.

Concerning Dark Objects and How to Make Them

These are inspired by the series The Originals. Davina and Kol started making these cursed objects and I liked the concept so now it’s a real witchy thing! I don’t if anyone came up with these yet, but I’ve never seen them around so here ya go!
What are Dark Objects?
Dark objects are basically active enchanted items. Items which you have linked a spell to, and is activated by a trigger set in place by the caster.
Components of a Dark Object:
The Focus: The Focus is the item itself, so a necklace, a ring, or something like that. I personally really like using jewelry as Foci, but that’s just my aesthetic. You could literally use anything, I’ve used a spoon before.
The Source: The Source is the source of power that fuels the item. The simplest one would be to infuse the object with all the energy needed for the spell. You can play with the source to turn it into more of a trigger.
The Trigger: The Trigger is what, well, triggers the spell. I like using a movement, or a small rhyme, as it’s pretty easy, but you could make it so it’s activated when the object is broken, or when a certain person does a certain thing.
The Link: Related to the trigger, this component is optional. It allows to make the use of this item reserved to a certain person.
The Glyph: This is more of a personal thing, but I like to use a glyph with different geometry in it to relate to the spell itself. It helps to redirect the energy into the object, and to govern the energies better. Circles are used to indicate the flow of energy, and to contain energy. Squares are used to represent the four elements, as each corner represents one direction. Lines are used to link different components to each other (more on that in another post). Triangles are used to implement structure and strength to the enchantment. Spirals are used to direct the energy of the Purpose
The Purpose: Basically the herbs and objects you would use for the spell if you weren’t going to use it as a cursed object. I don’t reccomend poppets, or other types of representative magic, due to the fact that it could make a monkey’S paw effect take action, but anything else is good.
How to make a Dark Object:
Making these can take a little bit of planning, of course, but I personally think they’re worth it.
First you want to pick a Focus. I reccomend something related to the spell, and easy to carry with you. Then, decide on the spell you want to put into the Object. Gather your Purpose and make sure you have everything you need. Then you want to design the glyph, if you’re going to use one. I reccomend using one of my chalk recipes depending on what you want to do. You should also decide on what you want your trigger to be. I reccomend a rhyme, rubbing the object, destroying it, or doing a certain movement. You also want to set up anything that you’ll be able to draw power from, like candles, crystal elixirs, music, whatever helps you raise energy.
Trace your glyph out, and set everything up. Place your Purpose on the assigned spots of the glyph, or just throw them in a box. If you’re going to use the glyph, make sure the Purpose is placeed at the end of a spiral going towards the Focus or lines going towards it. If using a glyph, your candles should be used as Purpose, to send power to the Focus. Now, it’s time to start casting.
Write out a contract stating the trigger, and the overall intention of the spell using whichever alphabet you prefer. I like using Ogham or runes, but you can also use regular script. If using a Link, wrap it up in the contract, or smear your blood or the person’s blood unto the word. or phrase stating the trigger. If the Source isn’t physical or premeditated, state what it will be when you need to use the object, for example feelings, or entropic energy. Burn the contract and mix the ashes with water or a brew related to the spell. Anoint the object with the mixture. Now you want to raise energy and direct it into the object. Visualize the object sucking in all the energy of the purpose and the Source, if used. Chant the intention of use of the object, preferably rhyming, and visualizethe use of the object. Act as if you were casting a regular spell, but isntead of sending it into the world, send it into the object so it may act as a vessel.
Using the Dark Object:
You want to carry the object with you for when you use it, obviously. Use your trigger and state the target of the spell. Once cast, the object will probably feel different. Less charged, or lighter even. Once the object has been used, you can reenchant it with the same spell you used, or cleanse it in salt and moonlight for an entire night and use a different spell on it.
Depending on what Source you link to the dark object, for example your feelings, you could probably cast the spell as many times as the Source is powerful enough.
Ideas for Dark Objects:
A pendant used to suddenly make you extremely attractive to all around you.
A bracelet used during a test to remember the answers.
A ring to bring intense luck when gambling.
An earring rubbed to curse that one person who wronged you isntantly.
A knife with storms as Source used to cut the clouds and make the sun shine.
The possibilities are endless! Have fun with it :)

Altar Tips

Altar Tips
  1. You don’t have to get a definitive altar- You can set up an altar only when you need one. You can keep your things in a box.
  2. Wardrobe altar- You can set up your altar in your wardrobe, in case you don’t have space or you are not allowed to have an altar in another place
  3. Bathroom altar- This is also for the case you don’t have liberty to have it somewhere else and you need privacy. This is good for non-definitive altars.
  4. Travel altar/ mini altar- You can create your own version of your altar for travelling, by making it with natural things and in a smaller proportion to fit your bag or you can buy one. There are some cute mini altars available on internet.
  5. Outdoor altar- This one is good for connecting better with nature. Also it’s a good way to the non- definitive altar, because obviously if you leave your things outside someone might take it or the wind and the rain might destroy it.
  6. Kitchen Altar- if you are a kitchen witch, you can set up an altar in your kitchen. It can be with the tools and the position as you wish or you can go the some other traditional set up.
  7. Garden- If you are into gardening and herbs you can create your whole garden in positions and add tools that represent that place as a sort of sacred/ altar place to perform your magic. Or you can get a recipient and create a mini version of it. The set up and the tools can be as you feel it’s correct for your work.

Sunshine Potion

I was inspired by a Bigelow tea called citrus chamomile. I looked at the back for the ingredients and saw I had most them, plus I could easily witch-ify this to make a sunshine potion! I found this is a wonderful tea to bring the happiness and sunshine into a warm and soothing beverage. Definitely improved my mood and helped me look forward to the rest of the day!
So you will need:
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 teaspoons of dried chamomile
  • 2 teaspoons of lemongrass
  • a touch of honey (optional)
Heat about 16oz of water to 212F or 100C or until simmering if you can’t measure the temperature. This will make about two cups of tea or one if you have a huge Spiderman mug like I do. You may want to halve the ingredients though if you have a smaller mug and only want one cup of tea. While the water heats, squeeze all the juice from the lemon and add that, about a quarter or eighth of the rind of the lemon, and all the other ingredients. Steep them for at least 5 minutes. You can leave it steeping for up to 10 minutes though if you have more patience than me. This has a very lemony taste, like warm lemonade if you’ve ever tried that. If you don’t like the taste of lemons so much, I suggest using only half the juice.
I Love to draw the astrology sign for the sun (a circle with a dot inside) with honey for extra happiness, warmth, and sunshine! You could instead make a sigil of your own for this purpose as well.
Sending lots of sunshine your way :) Cheers!

The Spirit Death/ Initiation

Traditions from all over the world hold that the person who wields supernatural power must first be initiated.
But that word has changed since those times.
Today, most view initiation as some dusty set of rituals. But that’s not what it was then, and that’s not it is now for traditional witches.
It’s death.
It’s destruction of the old self to make way for the new.
It’s sickness and decay.
It’s the rotting flesh made bare for the young animals to eat.
Most know that it happens to shamans. You’ve heard the stories of sickness, depression, hallucinations, and lonesome.
It happens to witches too.
It is a difficult time referred to now as ‘Spirit Initiation’, though I’ve come to know it as “The Death” or “The Spirit Death”. The phenomena has been talked about at length and experienced by traditional witches. Its function is to destroy the old to make way for the new. It kills the old you and uses it for kindling to light the witch fire. It’s happened to many traditional witches before they found their way to the Crooked Path.
When people warn others that witchcraft could drive them mad, this is one of the things that they refer to. The destruction doesn’t promise you will return perfected. It’s been known to mess people up, leave them broken, or flat out destroy them.
Most of the time, these initiations are led by a particular spirit. For many traditional witches, it was and is the Dark Man. For others, the spirits of the land might do it, or their ancestors, or all of them together. In other traditions, the spirit of another magical person would lead them through this and pass on their knowledge.
The Death manifests itself in different forms and can change in intensity from witch to witch. For some, it’s a physical sickness. For others, it can be a long bout of depression. Sometimes it’s a series of horrific nightmares or hallucinations. Though it can be different for each witch, it’s always an unpleasant experience.
The Death only comes with one promise. If you begin it, you’ll never be the same again. The world will always look different and you’ll never be who you were before you began.
When you feel you’ve hit the end of the road and can go no further, though you want to learn more, that’s when The Death often comes.
It’s not something to be desired, but its results afterward are.

Ways to Get Intimate with the Gods

For those special gods in your life.
  • Leave space for them on your bed when you sleep
  • Dedicate a piece of jewelry to them and wear it all the time
  • When you’re emotional, write a letter to them until your hands start to hurt
  • Make them a cup of tea and sit down across from it and just talk
  • Make some time to sit in ritual in silence and just feel them
  • Wear their colors for them and let them know you did it for them
  • Orgasms are great offerings
  • Take care of yourself physically and pamper yourself while you talk to them and visualize them helping you (example: washing your hair, doing your nails)
  • Magic is made from passion, so when you need an extra kick in the spell, visualize them touching you and whispering in your ear all the passion that you need
  • Eat dinner with them
  • Create a place where you meet in meditation

Here's to the busy witches

Here's to the busy witches
The witches who listen to nature sounds while studying for their finals
The witches who change into their uniforms in the minutes between class and work, muttering enchantments for good luck
The witches who feel guilty for putting their lives before their craft (they shouldn’t feel guilty)
The witches with a thousand things in their drafts, waiting for that rare evening when they have enough time write a post on tarot readings
The witches who forget to water their plants
Or don’t have time to cook
Here’s to the busy witches. You’re beautiful and I love you πŸ’šπŸ’š

inspired by Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

inspired by Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
1. Survival - what is most essential to your well being?
2. Shelter - what protects you? Where can you seek comfort?
3. Love and belonging - How can you solidify your relationships and sense of community?
4. Self-esteem - How can you pursue your goals and receive recognition for your achievements?
5. Self-actualization - what is your life’s truest purpose? how can you reach your highest and most genuine potential?

Edit: another twist on this spread is to separate all the suits, and major arcana, and shuffle each stack. Draw pentacles for 1, Swords for 2, Cups for 3, Wands for 4, and Major Arcana for 5.

Blooms of Confidence

To develop your full power you must have confidence in who you are. You must learn to care for your body and spirit, to treat yourself with love, gentleness, and respect.
You Will Need:
1. A bowl of water
2. A flower (preferably a lilac but any flower you feel a connection with will do)
Place the bowl of water in front of you. Breathe deeply and slowly; feel your body relax. Chant with confidence
“I know who I am
I know what I can become
I love who I am
I respect my true self
I control what I can
I am not controlled by others”
Offer yourself words of encouragement. Speak to yourself in a positive and loving way. Think of things you have accomplished and give yourself credit for what you have achieved. Do not sell yourself short; recognise you strengths and power.
Dip the bloom of the flower into the water and touch it to your forehead, saying
“May all the things I think …”
Dip the bloom in the water and touch it to your heart, saying
“… and all the thing I believe …”
Dip the bloom into the water and touch it to the plam of your left hand, saying
“… and all the things I hold …”
Dip the bloom into the water and touch it to the back of your right hand, saying
“… and all the things I do reflect my confidence in me.”
Let the bloom float on the water as you reflect on your strengths until you feel your confidence bloom.

“Sweet like roses shall I be
to all whom see and speak to me.
Only positive attention shall I attract

2. Throw in some sea water.
“Beautiful and fierce (or whatever sort of things you associate with the sea)
as the ocean shall I be
and no matter what I will always love me for me.”

Confidence and Beauty Spell

  • Natural pearl or rose quartz
  • Oil that represents beauty
On a Friday during a waxing moon, hold the pearl or quartz in your dominant hand and anoint in the oils while saying
Beauty lies so deep within me
Like a pearl enclosed in pain
Lift the lid and see the light
And join the world of love again     See it sparkle, see it shine
As I will it, it will be mine
Keep the pearl or quartz on your person and repeat as necessary, preferably on another Friday of a waxing moon each time.

Wildcard Witch’s Chant for Increasing Confidence πŸ’«

Using your own energy signature, trace on the ground a pentacle, sigil, or other mark that you feel brings you strength. If you’d like, call on a guide, deity, or spirit that you know has a familiarity with strength and confidence.
Unless you prefer silence, turn on a soundtrack or song that is inspiring to you. Light a favorite candle and stand on your traced mark. Hold your candle with both hands, breathing in and out with the flickering flame, repeating these words however many times you need to:
“I know my heart, I know my power
My courage grows with every hour
My armor is formed by flaws and faults
I’ll only dance to my own waltz.”
Feel your back straighten, your shoulders level, and your chin rise. Feel the power coursing through you as you repeat these words. Imagine your flame growing stronger with you, turning into a blazing bonfire that surrounds you. πŸ’«

Lucario Spell: Strength and Confidence

This is for those times that you need some extra strength and confidence. Time to channel your inner aura and face the day!
Materials:
  • Blue Candle
  • Silver Candle
  • (white candles are fine if you don’t have colored ones)
Steps:
  1. Light the candles.
  2. Cleanse your aura, even if you just woke up. Do so preferably by meditating so you can get in the proper mode. I like to picture a wave of light engulfing me until all the negative energy is gone.
  3. Now that your aura is clean, concentrate all of your thoughts on it. Look at how bright and clear it is. Its newfound radiance is making the entire room glow! Take a while to be proud of how nicely it shines. This is you. Pure, radiant, and absolutely stunning!
  4. When you are ready, recite the following with conviction:
With my newfound strength, I will conquer this task.
I will do so confidently and with complete devotion!
  1. Repeatedly recite it until you feel energized and ready to go!
  2. Blow out the candles with a tiny thought of gratitude for their uplifting energy, and get out there to show the world that you are ready for it!
Note: Candles aren’t necessary. Add incense, oils, or whatever you feel gives you confidence. You can feel free to modify this as you please.  This is just a simple spell that is meant to be adjustable to help you conquer all sorts of feats.

My coat is my armor

I realized today that I have a coat I wear nearly every day, and it made me think of the Once Upon A Time episode explaining Emma’s red jacket and how she feels like it’s her “armor”. Why not infuse a coat with feelings of protection and confidence? I see spells inspired by pop culture all the time and I’m not sure if this has been done already, but here we go.
You’ll need:
  • Your favorite jacket
  • Crystals with connotations to protection (I am using obsidian, labradorite, and amethyst).
  • You can also use crystals for infusing the coat with other purposes, such as calming stones (I am using rose quartz).
  • Clear quartz
  • Satchet bag
  • Sage
  • Lavender
  • Tea light candle
  • Paper clip or carving tool
  • Lighter
  • Safety water
Here’s what to do:
  1. Start with your tea light, lavender, sage, lighter, and carving tool. Into the candle, carve your intentions. In this case, simply the word ARMOR.
  2. Light the candle and keep it in a space free of any hazards. Using the tiniest pinches of lavender and sage, sprinkle it into the candle (not directly into the flame). Make sure you have a cup of water nearby for fire safety purposes!
  3. If you use incantation, feel free to recite whatever comes to mind. In this case I used “Protection is needed, protection is pleaded. This is my will, this is my way, so mote it be.” Really whatever you want is fine.
  4. The reason to use a tealight and not any other size of  candle is to let it burn completely out in one try. If you can’t, that’s fine, but keep it going while you set up your coat.
  5. Put more sage and lavender into the satchet bag, placing it inside a pocket or inside the coat if it doesn’t have one.
  6. Lay the coat on a flat surface (away from the flame!!!) and arrange your stones around it in a way that resonates with you.
  7. If you have access to a moon-facing window, lay it out overnight with the quartz nearest the window to draw down feelings of comfort and safety you might feel when moongazing. If that is not an option, place the quartz in the middle of the coat to really drawn in the protection and calmness of the other stones you have used.
  8. Let this sit out overnight (if using the moon) or until the candle has burned out.

Confidence Spell Jar

Confidence isn’t an instant thing. You need to believe in yourself, and have the strength to be outgoing. You need to let yourself be free of the fear of being wrong. Everyone is wrong from time to time, and we all make mistakes.
What you will need:
  • A key(to unlock your potential)
  • Oak (for strength)
  • Small Feather (for freedom)
  • Carnelian (for self esteem)
  • Amazonite (to soothe nerves that can make you loose confidence)
  • Kyanite (for confidence)
  • A bottle that will hold all of the above
Note: the stones don’t have to be very big. fragments or small polished ones work as well as larger ones. If you use tiny ones you could make a spell jar necklace.
You will want to cleanse everything before you begin.  As you add all the parts to the jar say their purpose and charge them. Especially focus your intent on the stones, as they will amplify whatever charge you give them.
seal the bottle with wax ( i recommend black for binding, or orange for intent) and you are done.
Note: I’m not one for fancy incantations, though you might be. Don’t be afraid to tweak this spell to fit your craft/ path/ beliefs.

Card of the Day: The Moon
We are eternal, All this pain is an illusion
